I own several BC Rich creations, had this axe in my stable for about 2 years now & can say without a doubt that she's a great machine. It's almost like playing with a cinder-block aorund your neck, you should be able to carry the load. At 6'1"/200 lbs I've never had any trouble. I've done 2 hour "power-sets" with her & had no problems, but I like 'em heavy... "No pain, no sustain" is my mantra & this baby's got sustain for days. In fact, it rivals my main axe, a '74 Les Paul Custom... another heavy one, tho not as heavy as this acrylic.Tone-wise, all I can say is "it's okay" right outta the box, but at a pauper's price, you can afford to spill some bread to upgrade the pups. I highly recommend doing this ASAP. Personally, I own no instrument that remains how it came outta the factory. What can I say, I'm a tweaking tone-snob! I replaced the factory BDSM's in mine with a pair of MEG 81s. It took a good bit of routing, but the acrylic body's nothing that a good Dremmel-Tool can't cut. With the EMGs added, she's a flame-thrower. My advice to all who are considering this axe is to ditch the lame factory pups. This is why I rate it a 6 on "features". Aside from that, it came with all the "must haves".I consistently gig with this axe in my line-up & she's uber strudy. I've heard tell of cats having mechanical problems with these, but I've had no trouble. I guess I just got a good one. This guitar is a weapon it gets noticed in a MAJOR way. There's no other way to put it. We're talking "bling-factor" of epic proportions. Wanna draw attention? Set foot on stage at midnight in a crowded bar with this heavy heffer in-tow, have a strong upper body, light the fuse & take cover.

I had wanted this guitar since I first saw it, I Finally bought it 5 years later. This guitar is the coolest Axe I have ever seen. however this guitar will not stay in tune, the truss rod is useless, The neck is cheap and the frets need some serious work. I have played guitar since 1969 I have A collection of more than 150 guitars and this by far is the biggest piece of junk I have ever paid my hard earned money for. I am forever soured on B.C.Rich. If you are A real musician, take my advise and dont waste your money. For my money you cant go wrong with an Ibanez.

    surprise delight!!

    By chickumz

I bought this at my local guitar store in the sales. I'd always wanted a Dan original but there was absolutely no way I would part with that much cash for something that detunes every time you sneezed (yes-I've actually tried a few) but just loved the acrylic body!!This guitar is warm sounding, wonderful to play and looks stunning under stage conditions. The only down side is the weight, but hey I can live with that for such beauty...............

    Acrylic Ice

    By James -gbpsb

It's definately an eye catcher. It reflects light like a prism. The humbuckers are HOT!!! I have a Japanese Strat with a Dimebucker that sounds about the same. I had one surprise, I expected an Icy tint. It's completely clear which is even better. I notice low E drops frequently but I'm guessing mine was made on a Monday. If you like Acrylic and you like BC Rich, find one and buy it!

Great version of a living legend

    By Skarekrow13

This is a sweet guitar. This has always been my favorite body style and B.C. Rich makes it sound better than it looks. I had a Platinum Warlock before getting this one and love that thing to death. I was a little hesitant that either the tone or quality of the guitar would suffer from the material but my fears were unfounded. The acrylic sounds better in my opinion, giving clean playing a sharper edge to it and providing less muddy sound when using distortion (not like B.C. Rich has a problem with this but the acrylic improves on an already stong point). B.C. Rich also has the best made necks I've ever played which is a standout feature for me. Perfect fit and easy to reach any fret.

    Couldn't be happier

This is my second Warlock. Bought a platinum series a few years back and everything is top quality. This one is even more so. Plays great clean and great distorted. If you can get past the weight (about the same as a bass) it's a very comfortable guitar as well. Body fits well against a human one and B.C. Rich makes the best guitar necks I've played. Oh yeah...it looks awesome too.

    Seriously now.

    By Metal4God

The guitar is heavy but look at it. it screams heavy. it is also not that great on clean, but when youre playing a guitar that looks like this, who plays alot of clean? it sounds great distorted, but sometimes it doesnt stay in tune. overall though i love it. i play it as my downtuned guitar. looks sick, sounds sick. wouldnt trade it in unless i had to.

    Needs Maintenance

    By Mark Sornson

    from Manitowoc, WI

The bridge pickup broke almost immediately after only playing it for 3 months. The guitar came with a screwed up speed knob cocked at a 45 degree angle, which i had to replace right away. the guitar weighs so much you need a padded bass strap just to not get a rash after playing it for an hour, but I will admit is cool to look at, so if you want something to impress others and can look past all the factory blemishes, this is your metal machine.

    Feeling

    By Bodom

    from Sunnyvale CA

It's a good guitar, but the feel of it makes you want to cry. i was going to get it, but then i realized, 1) it looked to corny, and 2) it just didn't FEEL like a real guitar.
