The tone may be heavy, but this bird can fly high.
The B.C. Rich Ironbird Standard Electric Guitar offers a unique spin on classic B.C. Rich tonality thanks to its two Rockfield Black Betty active humbucking pickups. These pickups work to create an instrument with massive tone and sustain.
The B.C. Rich Ironbird uses a classic Bolt-on construction. On these guitars a neck (typically maple) is bolted on with 4 screws to the body. This construction offers some added flexibility in the instruments adjustment and provides the option to change the neck in the future.
Most of B.C. Rich body styles employ a beveled edge around the shape. In many ways bevels on a top are similar to facets on a cut stone. They catch the light and reflect at different angles giving the instrument more of a three dimensional look. Some of the B.C. Rich top bevels are extreme and wide while others are subtle and narrow. Occasionally the shape of the instrument is accented by painting the bevels a contrasting color.
Other appointments on this awesome B.C. Rich shredder include C neck shape, 24 jumbo frets, 1-11/16" nut width, 12" radius, Floyd Rose special bridge, die-cast tuners, and a gloss finish.

The Ironbird Standard. The body is very light, and it is smaller than it looks, its comfortable to play sitting and standing. The neck will dive alot, But the guitar is so light you can hold it in place, The Floyd Rose has great action, mine is set for heavy tension and resistance. The pickups have a great tone that covers a wide range. one volume knob is very efficient for quick on and off. This is a great guitar to step into the world of Floyd Roses and Active pickups, and it plays effortlessly. The neck is smooth and thin and fast and the cut-away in the body lets you reach 24 easily. Great buy.
I was a little iffy on getting this guitar at first, but wow, am I glad I did. This by far is the best guitar I've ever played, the pinches come out so wonderfully and easily, and everything on it just sounds so heavy, I love this guitar, and put it with a Boss DS-1, perfect sound for any kind of metal you want to play, get it!
