Oozes headbanger attitude and backs it up with tons of tone and power!
The B.C. Rich Kerry King Signature V features Canadian hard maple neck through construction, a maple body, and a Kahler X tremolo. The maple body swirls with intense tribal graphics and the rosewood fingerboard is tricked out with large diamond inlays. EMG active humbucking pickups deliver all the roaring tone Kerry King is famous for. 24 jumbo frets and a 25-1/2" scale allow for blazing fast fingering action. An ominous Widow headstock adds the finishing touch to the wicked looks. PA2 preamp gives you a 0-20dB boost without changing your tone. Quickly kick up your levels for a lead or drive a long cord without losing high frequencies.
Neck Through construction is used on the Kerry King Signature V because it provides the best possible sustain, resonance, comfort and access to higher frets. Neck-through has long been considered the premium construction method for high-end guitars. This construction starts with a long piece (or pieces) of premium North American maple. That piece runs from the tip of the headstock to the strap button on the opposite end of the guitar. This means that the headstock, fingerboard, pickups and bridge all are mounted to this single sound foundation. Sonically it is a difference you can hear. The neck-through construction also allows deeper cutaways, providing comfort no bolt-on or set-neck could offer.
The EMG-81 bridge pickup is a high output pickup designed especially for the lead guitarist. The 81 is at its best for high volume overdrive and amps with a master volume. Whether you're playing power rock and roll, or overdriving your amp, there's a razor sharp attack, and incredible sustain for brilliant soloing. If you're looking for exceptional qualities in a rock pickup, the EMG-81 is the one.
The EMG-85 pickup in the neck position is the perfect complement to the EMG-81 in the bridge. It's string interface lend itself to a more natural tone perfect for rhythm. The EMG-85 boasts loads of output without becoming muddy.
The Kerry King Signature V is constructed with a flat top. The flat top styling gives a bold and pristine look to the edge of the instrument's shape. The binding on a flat top finishes off the edge cleanly and gives a sleek and clean look to the instrument.

Im just so happy we got this one for a steal. I recommend getting a noise gate so you can tame the PA on this axe. Im a big fan of slayer and KFK but even if your not this is probably one of the best imports out there nuff said'
Ebony Fingerboard, Kahler Tremolo, Grover Tuners, Neck through Construction, Abalone Inlays and EMG 81/85's w/ KK signature pre-amp switch (adds 20db of gain to your sound)! what else would you ask for?
Quality is top notch for a korean made guitar feels and plays like a US made one! :). Out of the box the guitar just needed to be re-tuned and I did'nt even need to intonate it which was a relief since its my first time using a kahler trem.
My wife got this on sale (thanks MF!)and it's a high end model for that price there's nothing that other guitar companies could offer you within this price range and heck even if you pay a grand for this one you won't get dissapointed its an overall better guitar (in my opinion) than the Dean Razorback V and Alexi LTD 600 (no offence those are awesome axes but this one just blows them way in terms of features) which I was originally planning to buy!
im super impressed with this guitar.... i mean im pretty much speechless, deffinetly the best guitar ill ever own.... and yes im a slayer fan but even if your not into slayer but play metal. this would be a wise purchase. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S not sure i mentioned it earlier but it has a great clean sound as well for those of you who like to clean it up every now and then.
well this guitar obviously has a set of emg,s an 81 and 85
but the best thing about that other than there awesome for metal the pre amp boost is absoulutley awesome for leads. the kahler is pretty kool to,,,, as with any floating bridge tuining stability is at times a pain espescially with new strings but no big deal ive been dealing with them for years
this guitar is made as solid as they come.... super thick but very fast
i own a dean that was 999.99 and an ltd that was 500 and this guitar for the price is by far 10 times better than either one i love it..... really an awesome deal on it.
this guitar can do no wrong, an in the right hands its a dream to play. i cant find any thing wrong with this spawn from bc rick, an its a piece of ART, TRUST ME BUY NOW BEFORE PRICE GOS UP
well lets see were to begin, the kahler tremolo is so eazy to set up, worked so nice, never out of tune, an i am very heavy handed with the wammy bar. the neck is one of the best iv played, an the boost is a nice touch. an the pick ups 81-85 are so good, my fav,
what can i say. everything on this guitar is awesum/ u will be playing this guitar for a long tym...................................................
what are u crazy at this price, im laphing all the way to my gigs.
I use to play mostly Fender, but now I love BC Rich guitars and I want to buy another.
Everything works great from the EMG's, Kahler tremolo, to the neck construction.
BC Rich really knows how to put together a guitar.
Even as a used BC Rich guitar, it is worth every penny.
I would highly recomend this BC Rich to any of my fellow musician's, if they were looking for a porfessional guitar for solo lead guitar playing. Just the name alone Kerry King is intimidating, but if you feel your skills are ready for a high proformance guitar this is the guitar for you.
I have been looking at BC Rich guitars sence the 80's, and always loved the edgey look. But never knew anyone that owned one that I could try. Jackson and Dean Guitars are equal to BC Rich for shaped guitars, but I believe BC Rich are king for look and performance. Lots of Metal guitarist have used them from Kerry King to Mick Mars to Lita Ford, how can you go wrong?
Other than changing the factory strings to Dunlop Kerry King Series Signature stings and a few little adjustments, everything else was great. The EMG 81 & 85 active double humbuckers are awesome, and the rippn' Kahler tremolo works superb. I was suprised to find this came with a PA2 Pre-amp, it's killer. This righteous ass BC Rich Kerry King Signature V is one of a kind. If you can buy one, you will enjoy it's playability feel and action.
This guitar is worth every peny invested, from the type of wood to the electronics. Be careful of the head stock tips, they are breakable. I highly reckamend buying a case (Coffin Case), as soon as possible. A good case will increase the value of your guitar, and save you the headache of damages by water cold and heat.
i saw this guitar in the used section. i noticed that it was basically brand new with all the stickers still on it. so i plugged into a mesa boogie mark V and set up all my settings that i use and all i can say is wow! the kahler was setup perfectly and the guitar felt so right in my hands. the neck just conformed to my hands. im planning to get this guitar for christmas. i know ill be satisfied
This guitar has great tone and sustain for metal the pickups are top of the line, and it looks fantastic. So if you watch the headstock you can't lose.
Pickups are insane, neck is fast, and the db boost is a nice extra.
Everything is top notch, but the headstock could have been abit more sturdy.
BC rich doesnt seem to package their guitars very well and I had to send this guitar
back to be replaced twice due to the tips of the widow headstock being broken
during shipping. My advise would be that you need to watch the headstock on this one.
The price on this guitar is sick for all that you get neckthrough at this price, nuff said.
This is an awesome guitar!! Good pick-ups and good neck!! The neck is easy to play on and feels great!! The pick-ups are metal/hard core rock style!! The design is just plain tight, and one of a kind!! But since the body is a V, it's basically just a stand up guitar, because it doesn't feel right and slides off ur knee!! Overall its one of a kind!! If you have the money go after it!!
Personally, I think this is one of B.C. Rich's best guitars. In my experience, it had one of the best set of pick-ups money can buy. If you have the money and play metal, you need this guitar.
This guitar is great for the price. It is a quality made instrument, with great sound and a great feel. Personally I replaced the Kahler hybrid with a 2315 pro, and I am very pleased with this guitar. Highly recommended.
