The B.C. Rich Kerry King V features a hard Canadian maple bolt on neck, a beveled top basswood body, a rosewood fretboard with 24 jumbo frets and a KKV inlay at the 12th fret, and 2 BDSM humbucker pickups. A Kahler Tremolo and B.C. Rich BDSM pickups highlight this nicely equipped bolt on V.
The Kerry King V Electric Guitar uses a classic Bolt-on construction. The maple neck is bolted on with 4 screws to the body. This construction offers some added flexibility in the instruments adjustment and provides the option to change the neck in the future.
B.C. Rich BDSM Pickups
B.C. Rich designed their BDSM humbucking pickups to provide a solid sound and to be durable while delivering high output. BDSM stands for Broad Dynamic Sonically Matched. That simply means the pickup is designed to reproduce a wide range of frequencies accurately (broad dynamic). Then they are tested and matched in pairs (neck and bridge) by their inherent individual and signature tonal and output characteristics to give a solidly balanced tone (sonically matched).
The Kerry King V Electric Guitar employs a beveled edge around the shape. In many ways, bevels on a top are similar to facets on a cut stone. They catch the light and reflect at different angles giving the instrument more of a three dimensional look.

I purchased this guitar for playing Slayer music exclusively and it didn't disappoint. Nice tribal graphic with low action rosewood fretboard. Other than a tune-up, the guitar was ready to go straight out of the box. The Kahler tremolo system is smooth and stays in tune well. The biggest surprise was how good the stock pickups sound. They have a nice crunch going through my Marshall 100DFX. Their sound is similar to Gibson's 496r/500t combo, just not quite as bright. If you're thinking about buying this guitar, go for it.
My friend has this guitar and he let me play it a few times. It is pretty light weight and it sort of feels like a D shaped bolt on neck. I played through his Marshall MG 100 and it sounded pretty good. The pickups are not that bad. I would recommend this to anyone into heavy metal.
This is the best guitar ever played...ever. the tremelo makes divebombing so easy to do that you can be playing up in 20's, go back down to 3, dive bomb, then go back to playing without missing a beat. If you play, Panterra, Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot, Ecape the Fate, or BFMV, this is the guitar for you.
The KKV is the most wicked guitar I've ever played. It makes playing addictive again for me,because you can move around the neck so easily. The tone on all aspects are insane.B.C Rich has acustomer for life. If your looking don't let this one pass you by. Be the envy of your peers, shredding on the mid-priced verion of the heavymetal master Kerry King's guitar.
This guitar is perfect for any musician wishing to play metal. The pickups get great sound, pinch harmonics are a pinch, the 24 jumbo frets allow for ultimate shredding, and the Kahler bridge just makes it all the better. However it is singularly focused, with Kerry King's signature Tribal design and body shape, but all in all, a perfect metal musician's instrument of destruction.
This is one of the greatest and easiest guitars i have ever played. I strongly recommend this guitar to anyone wanting to play some hardcore material.
The good thing about a B.C Rich is that even before you buy, you know your going to be getting a guitar that is of outstanding quality! And concidering that all have jumbo frets you'll be able to play all those solos that require all 24 like those of kirk hammet. It's a definate buy.
Man oh man, this guitar rules. I am in a death-thrash metal band. This guitar rules for everything I play. The tribal graphics and spider headstock just makes this thing one scary demon rocking guitar. This was my first guitar with a kahler tremolo. I have always used floyds but this thing is even better. It still allows me to squeals and dive bombing. Get this guitar, it is perfect.
