I bought my first KKV used, and I loved the sound, but it was kinda falling apart. Both guitars have had a problem with staying in tune on the thicker strings, especially if D-tuned. (Tuners aren't that great.) The strings have also had a tendancy to snap once in awhile, even when brand new. The bridge isn't the best bridge in the world either, but overall this is a great starter guitar for anyone who is into Metal. The Humbuckers are pretty narly sounding, it's very light weight, and the fingerboard is outstanding. I recommend a different strap than the one that comes with it. Cable too, the MF standard 20 foot cables are excellent for beginners. Dunlop Straps and picks are good2go too. I have a Line-6 Spider II 112 combo amp on the way. We'll see how it sounds coming through that little bad boy!

Although it is a neat looking guitar, and has decent action, it is still a certifiable piece of junk. These types of guitars are a NOVELTY only, or are for the young kid who wishes he was in the band. The pickups suck, the paint separates from the body, the tuners suck, and the neck is not fast at all. I bought it just because I am a huge slayer fan. It is hanging on my wall next to my KK poster. It will stay there. I will never play it just because it makes me sick to think that B.C Rich is trying to pass this off as a playable guitar. If you don?t have a lot of dough, and still want to get a guitar that is somewhat decent, Ibanez is the only way to go. I have been playing for many years. I own a Gibson Les Paul, a little known gem called a Fusion from Jackson, and an Ibanez s520ex. I love the Ibanez. The Gibson and the Jackson were both over $1500 and the Ibanez can hold its own. Don't be an idiot. Having a guitar that looks like Kerry King's will not make you Kerry King.

i love slayer, and this is a great guitar for the money. i got mine from a pawn shop but i love it, i will have to say that the end jack is fairly faulty. but overall a good buy. Get the EMG's and different tuners for it and youll have an instrument to be proud of!
I got mine used since they're out of production. For those of you who complain about playing a V sitting down, what you expect? Put a guitar strap on! Need more inlays? I put on a set on vinyl inlays - work great and can be removed. The pickups are BC Rich and are sealed and probably modeled after the EMG-HZs. I have 9 BC Rich guitars and the BC Rich stock pups are awesome - I don't get upgrading. Every BC Rich guitar I ever played, played great and I believe they make the best necks for the money. This KKV is outstanding, great tones, nice graphic, and killer atitude - and I don't even like Slayer!
This guitar has some awesome EMG pickups on it, great for metal. AWESOME paint job, the widow headstock just finishes it off. The no-inlay gives it an awesome goth look.
It sounds great! It looks great! It's great!
This is the perfect beginners guitar, it has awesome sound for such a sweet price!
Awesome guitar, the sound is pretty good, considering it has stock pick ups. The body looks great, too!
This could have been MUCH BETTER if the manufacturer included some inlays on the fretboard... a devil's head on every 3rd fret would definitely kick ***!
I think the workmanship and all of the extras are more than worth the price. The playability is great and I actually prefer the standard bridge to a trem to be honest!
This guitar has the heaviest sound of any metal guitar that I've ever used!
When i saw this guitar i knew it was for me as iam into slayer i thought this would be a monster. This guitar has all you need if you're into slayer and fast metal. the design and shape is very good, i was able to adjust easly as i used to own a strat, the kkv just destroys the strat. so if you're into slayer, kerry king, or rock and metal, this is for you.
