One thing..play this guitar standing up with a good strap. The left side of the body design does tend to dig into your chest,,It does mine anyhow...No big deal though for such a great instrument...Get one youll love It..

This guitar is probally the most comfortable and best sounding guitar there is next to a Les Paul..that is when it is actually working!!!!!!!There are more problems with this guitar than a round triangle. First I couldn't get it to stay in tune. Then when I could, it gained a horrible sound. I got that fixed easily. But now (this one is actually my fault) I dropped it (dang straplock let the strap slide off) and it knocked the humbucker half out. I took off the strings and put the humbucker back in and now there is something wrong with the bridge!!!Bottom line, you can risk buying it but I wouldn't. Get a Les Paul or a Strat. It'll work better for ya.

Comments about B.C. Rich Masterpiece Mockingbird Electric Guitar:
I've had this guitar for several days now, and been playing all day each day. The guitar sounds like it can be play Jazz to Classic Rock, and for metal. The guitar weighs about the weight of a Gibson Les Paul. The color is beautiful, and the pictures can't describe the beauty of this axe. If I had the choice out of all five of my guitars; I would have to say this is the best of them all.

Comments about B.C. Rich Masterpiece Mockingbird Electric Guitar:
Set up well, right out of the box. Picture does not do the guitar justice - finish is flawless.
Pickups are very bright, which is better than not bright enough. No excess noise from the electronics. The neck is fairly thick, like a Les Paul - not a "fast" neck by any means, but plays comfortably. On a strap, the guitar is slightly neck heavy, but not bad. All in all this is a good rhythm guitar. I am extremely happy with it - for the price it is a very good deal.

Comments about B.C. Rich Masterpiece Mockingbird Electric Guitar:
This guitar plays and feels great. It is light weight (compared to Epi Les Paul)and sounds equally great playing through my Marshall JCM 900 head or just plugged in to my DigiTech RP250 pedal warming up with headphones on. Needed a secondary/replacement primary guitar for gigs, this will def be my axe of choice. The "Dragon's Blood" color, a little darker than the picture (more of a maroon color than a bright red) is awesome in person. Came with cloud inlays vice the pictured block inlays - cloud inlays way cooler looking. Shipped from factory already set up good to go. Took it out of the box, plugged it in, tuned it down half step and was completely set to go at rehearsal. Highly recommend this B.C. Rich. I've played other B.C. Rich models (the Warlock, the Beast, the Ironbird and the Bich) this is by far the most comfortable of all the models played in my opinion. Like I stated in the title, if your considering this guitar and having doubts? Don't, it's definitely worth every penny of it's price!

been wanting a mockingbird for the collection for years. finding it at this price was too good to pass up. great quality. one thing, mine came with the cloud inlays, as mentioned in the description. the pic shows the ugly rectangel inlays, big plus there. im very picky about the necks on my guitars, this one is very nice. not the best, it does seem a little bit thick, but has a great oil finish and plays nicely. imo, better than any neck youll find on a guitar for the price range.
it is what it is. i dont know what "features" youd need on a guitar. its got 2 pickups, a neck, and strings. no tremelo, but sometimes thats a plus.
very solid, very well made.
cant beat the price.
Comments about B.C. Rich Masterpiece Mockingbird Electric Guitar:
Well, a chinese one... but, what the problem? The finishing perfect. The neck, action, better than top marks like Fender or Gibson (just I'm lucky or all models is like this one?). Cheap pickups? No, quiet, strong, good, sweet at the neck, jazzist sounds and enought agressive at the bridge. There are just a sad history, the electric wiring was real garbage. I think they put a "child" to make the job. I'm not a tech and I could make it better (is impossible make it worse!). Poor soldering, big noise, and the switch useless (no mid point). I sent to fix that and now is perfectly working. For the price, at least four times less than a starting Gibson's price, you will be surprised! Do the test, compare! (before, prepare yourself to send it to make some changes at electric wiring) ;-)
Is a personal point of view, but it don't need a

It's very comfortable to play. i'm going to throw some ernie ball slinkys and then it'll be absolutely idea.
it's tone offers way for a lot of versatility. i play just about everything under the sun and this will be my main guitar.
The looks are amazing. it's hard to stop looking at it long enough to play with.
the stock pickups are great, they have a sweet tone and a nice bite and have great sustain through a nice distortion.
it feels like a nice sturdy guitar. as i stated above, the stock pickups are great, i don't see a need to changed them at this point. it stays in tune well.
best bang for the buck i've ever seen in a guitar. well worth the money spent.
Comments about B.C. Rich Masterpiece Mockingbird Electric Guitar:
The neck is faster than my schecter omen extreme. I do like the neck quite a bit. When you sit down with the guitar you often have that little bump on your chest which hurts if you like to push the guitar into your body and get a good feel with it. It might of been the chair or so but that one problem with it. The other one. You cannot do pinch harmonics on this guitar. It might of been poorly set up by the store but to me even if a guitar is badly set up I can at least get some kind of pinch harmonic. This one I couldnt. I gave it an overall 4. If they cut away the bulging body so it doesnt hurt my chest I would definitely buy it and put some other pick ups in it.
Comments about B.C. Rich Masterpiece Mockingbird Electric Guitar:
I don't EVER do this, but a follow up review is warranted.I've fallen more in love with this axe over the past few weeks, this is the only guitar I use with my band since I got it. The sound is fantastic, I run thru a Pod and Marshall Stack, it sustains until tomorrow, fat tone, action is equal to any Gibson I own and the looks constantly get great comments. I plan on buying another Mockingbird, with different features and color for variety soon. This is a guitar I feel strongly enough about to urge anyone on the edge to just get it. My Brother in law just played mine and is buying his own now. Sweet Axe!! Nuff said...
Comments about B.C. Rich Masterpiece Mockingbird Electric Guitar:
Been playing rock in bands(Deep Purple style) for 43 years, own 13 Gibson solidbodies, some very limited high end models, and own a Parker. This guitar is OUTSTANDING for the money, should cost 4x the current price, I couldn't be happier I bought this, plays awesome right out of the box, I tweaked the action just a tad lower and put GHS .009's on it and I feel like I finally got a GREAT deal. Finish is as good as flamed Gibsons, sound is very cool. If there is any doubt, BUY this before they realize they are selling it too cheap. You can't go wrong buying this axe, great looks , good playing axe, and I am NOT a novice. My band sounds exactly like who we cover, from Deep Purple to Dokken. Can't give this axe a good enough review, WELL worth the $299!!!!!!!!!!
