Built for serious riffage with a gorgeous neck-through design and AAA quilted veneer top.
The Mockingbird ST is the most popular model in the Mockingbird family. The heart of the ST is its Floyd Rose 1000 Series Termolo and a pair of Duncan Designed HB-103 pickups. These high output pickups are controlled with a selection of knobs and switches that include a 5-position varitone filter knob, two coil tap switches and a reverse phase switch. The neck-through construction also assures great tone and full fingerboard access. Other goodies include an ebony fingerboard, diamond inlays and Grover tuners.

Comments about B.C. Rich Mockingbird ST Electric Guitar:
When I picked up my used Peavey JSX head at Guitar Center, I noticed the BC Rich Mockingbird ST in honey burst on display. I never thought much of BC Rich guitars, as I'm a stern follower of Ibanez. I was curious and gave it a spin. I was impressed with the quilted maple cap, ebony fretboard and neck-through-body construction. The Duncan design pickups are medium output. The maple veneer and ebony fingerboard help to add top-end punch to this very thick and heavy slab of mahogany. The mini coil-tap switches come in handy for R&B/Funk comping. However, I don't have any use for the variable tone knob and reverse phase switch. Although the neck is a little on the fat side, the flatness and slickness of the ebony fingerboard allows for fast soloing, but the protruding left horn kinda cuts into your chest when sitting - an ergonomic error in design, IMO. Given its low price, this is one of the best deals you'll find out there. If it weren't for that annoying left horn, this guitar would get 5 stars hands down.
