B.C. Rich

B.C. Rich has graced the NJ Deluxe Jr. V Electric Guitar with an ebony fretboard and full pearl binding on the headstock, neck and body. Want more? How about neck through construction, EMG pickups and a Floyd Rose Original tremolo

Neck-Through Construction

B.C. Rich is known as one of the pioneers in neck through construction. They use it on many of their guitars, because it provides the best possible sustain, resonance, comfort and access to higher frets. Neck-through has long been considered the premium construction method for high-end guitars. This construction starts with a long piece (or pieces) of premium North American maple. That piece runs from the tip of the headstock to the strap button on the opposite end of the guitar. This means that the headstock, fingerboard, pickups and bridge all are mounted to this single sound foundation. Sonically it is a difference you can hear. The neck-through construction also allows more of the body and neck to be cut away at the neck joint, which provides comfort no bolt-on or set-neck could offer. You will find the neck through feature on all top of the line B.C. Rich models.

EMG-81 (bridge position)

The EMG-81 is a high output pickup designed especially for the lead guitarist. The 81 is at its best for high volume overdrive and amps with a master volume. Whether you're playing power rock and roll, or overdriving your amp, there's a razor sharp attack, and incredible sustain for brilliant soloing. If you're looking for exceptional qualities in a rock pickup, the EMG-81 is the one.

EMG-85 (neck position)

Although the EMG-85 has more measurable output than the 81, its frequency response and string interface are different. The 85 uses two Alnico magnet loaded coils with a wide aperture to maintain a beefy low end and a fatter top end. Because of a more natural tone, it works great as a rhythm and blues pickup because it has loads of output but isn't muddy.

Flat Top

Some of the B.C Rich shapes are offered with a flat top. The flat top styling gives a bold and pristine look to the edge of the instrument's shape. Usually when the flat top feature is used, B.C. Rich adds a stripe of single or multi-ply binding around the edge in a complementary color. The binding on a flat top finishes off the edge cleanly and gives a sleek and clean look to the guitar.

Comments about B.C. Rich NJ Deluxe Jr. V Electric Guitar:

Great craftmanship, a solid Floyd Rose tremolo, a slimmer V body profile than ESP or Jackson, great tone, and easy playability for a V make this ax a true winner for BC Rich. Had to level the FR, and I use lighter gauge strings, so I had to do some setup work, which was easy but took a little while. I changed one thing, just for my tonal preference. I took the EMG 85 out of the neck position, moved the EMG 81 from bridge to the neck, and put an EMG 81x in the bridge position. The 81 in the neck position still has great bass response and has more clarity than the 85. the 81x is also a great pickup. The binding goes completely around the neck, headstock, and body and is absolutely stunning. Great price, too, from Musician's Friend. They keep coming out with great instruments/ amps at tremendous savings, just check on the website often!

Great Buy

By ProgDeth

Comments about B.C. Rich NJ Deluxe Jr. V Electric Guitar:

When I was looking for my third guitar last summer, I decided to go with the expensive once, instead of buying a bunch of shitty ones, like I had before. Visually, the guitar is more stunning in person than online. The pearl binding accents the gloss black body and ebony fretboard perfectly. All black hardware is a basic rule, and looks good. The only problems with the features for me were the original tremolo and the flat top. My previous guitars were all carved top, making it slightly more comfortable to play, but it took me a day or so to get used to it so no big deal. I replaced the OFL for a low pro floyd, but that's my preference. The EMGs are great, which is good, since the first thing I usually do with a new guitar is switch out the stock pickups. The price tag was perfect for my budget,a dn I was also surprised that it is as good as it is, seeing as there are Jackson's twice as expensive with the same features, and this one even plays easier.

Godly

By Vartanian

Comments about B.C. Rich NJ Deluxe Jr. V Electric Guitar:

This is the most underpriced and underated guitar I've ever seen. It is flawlessly crafted, theres nothing wrong with the cosmetics on mine, floyd rose is superb. Action was heavenly, plays like /butter. EMG 81/85 combo is amazing, the bridge is crisp and viscious. The bridge is warm and buttery. Input jack is conviently placed on the top wing, at a slight angle. Infinite sustain, a must have for any guitarist who can handle the V. The best $ i've ever spent.

Why didn't I play this sooner?!!?

Comments about B.C. Rich NJ Deluxe Jr. V Electric Guitar:

This is by far the best guitar I've ever played. I was at the store, and I played 10 Gibson Les Pauls and countless Fender Strats and Teles, all through the same amp (so tht the results I got weren't based on the amp's sound instead of the Guitar's.) and all I cansay is that this one blew every last one of them away. The neck was flawless, the Floyd functioned perfectly, the pickups were a force to be reckoned with, and the looks were amazing. I reccomend this guitar to anyone who wants the best guitar ever, and for cheap.

Truly Deserves 5 Star Rating

By Stewart Rottencrotch

Comments about B.C. Rich NJ Deluxe Jr. V Electric Guitar:

Look, I spent a considerable amount of time writing an in-depth review for this guitar only to find out I exceeded the limit (yes, I?m aware it?s ironic that I?m wasting space telling you this, but I digress). To the point: This guitar is well worth the money. I spent over a year trying out guitars of different persuasions and this guitar is by far the most bang for your buck. On top of that it?s a great guitar in its own right. I was skeptical due to BC Rich?s questionable reputation in regards to quality/playability. I had even tried the DLXJRVO Deluxe Jr. V and was not impressed. But with this thing you can honestly put your fears to rest. It is amazing. The features speak for themselves and cannot be found on any other guitar for under $1,000 (that I could find). The playability is incredible and the sound is too. BC Rich really seems to be putting forth a serious effort to regain its reputation and they've succeeded immensely with this guitar.

Comments about B.C. Rich NJ Deluxe Jr. V Electric Guitar:

This guitar has all the ingredients and construction details that make this guitar a force to be reckoned with. Fistly this guitar is equiped with metal guitar's most classic componets, active EMG-81/85 set and original Floydrose.Secondly this guitars use of high quility tone woods, mahogany body, maple neck, and ebony fingerboard in conjuction with its excellent neck-thru construction make this guitar a real contender. The guitars full pearl binding is flawless as well and all the guitars controls work in total harmony with the rest of the instrument kit. Also the locking nut and Grover tuning keys are excellent.

Comments about B.C. Rich NJ Deluxe Jr. V Electric Guitar:

I've been in the market for a new v, and was saving money to buy a U S A Jackson King V. But when I saw this guitsr I had to check it out. Plays excellent, very fast neck, great inotation, awesome action. It has the same features of the Jackson (neck thru, origanl Floyd) but I still would have switched the pick ups to active EMG set. This is the best guitar I've bought in a long time, feels like a custom shop guitar. For the the money its a no brainer, just read the desciption of it. The guitar turns a lot of heads and through my tube amp kicks all *ss. Great metal tone from the EMG's as you would expect. I have not found any negatives with this guitar. B.C. Rich nailed it when they made this one. If you want a great quality guitar without paying $2000.00 plus dollars, GET IT NOW!! I'm selling my ESP DV-8 to get another one of these bad boys. Go play one and you'll love it.
