I play in a youth worshep band and our new guitar player got this for christmas and he loves it. I got to play it before and after service. I love this guitar. it has a neck though body wich is very impressive. It remindes me of the old BC rich guitars of the 80's. THis is a great guitar for blues and rock, but freat for metal. Put some size 12 or 11 strings on this and let her sing. it is also good for baritone.
I LOVE this guitar, own several B C rich guitars, this is a top favorite!!!! Good pick ups, but I will replace them with ivory EMG's 81 and 85. Great feel NO fret buzz.
I picked this up recently and let me say it is a full on metal axe, your dad wont be buying this for his jazz band, so if you're into metal pick up this beast.
I have been playing guitar for almost 30 years now. I have played Fender , Gibson , Ibanez , Shector , and now own this Bich. Let me tell you from experience. I am primarily a drum player. But started out playing the guitar. The feel of this guitar is like playing butter. The action is great the look is even better. If your sick of the old strat look in every guitar out there. Then grab one of these. I have sold all my other guitars , and play this one exclusively. This with my 100 wt Marshall is so intense. Try it you will love it. This is my latest & greatest addition to my intrument family. I love it !! The price is ok too. But well worth every penny of it.I will not play anything else ,ever again..
This guitar is amazing, i own the natural version, and it plays so well you would think it was a $2,500 dollar guitar. If you want to sound like you're a metal band from the early 80's you would probably want this guitar.
This is my third guitar and I am completely in love with it. I am getting ready to put a Les Trem on it, then I'm going to throw out the stock BC Rich pickups and put in some EMGs or Seymour Duncan Livewires in. Ebony fretboard, good. Good tone, fast neck, and very low action. The tuners are amazing, especially for stock ones...then again my last guitar was an epi sg special...needless to say I had to tune quite literally every five minutes. My only complaints are as follows:1. The lack of a 2nd tone knob2. Not as much sustain as I expected3. Both strap buttons are on the back...none of my straps fit it. I had to make my own out of a belt and old book bag and some duct tape.People please don't let the price fool you...this is an amazing guitar.
This guitar has great action; it plays like butter, which is perfect for any shredder. It?s a little off balance but if you get the right stance it feels comfortable. When you show this to your friends they'll think it?s the most amazing looking guitar, and it sticks out when you?re on stage. The only downfall is that it had a lot of buzzed frets; I had to return it to get it fixed. But it?s still a good guitar; it?s an old school Dave Mustaine!
I recently bought this guitar in the natural color. This is the best money I've ever spent on a guitar, and I've been playing for over 20 years. I have guitars that are twice as expensive as this one that aren't nearly as nice. BC Rich outdid themselves on these. I have a neck-thru Warlock as well as a new IT Warlock, and this one blows them both away. It is giving my other 6 guitars some serious competition for my attention these days. Great sound for metal, great feel, highly recommended!
Out of the five guitars i have i prefer to play my bich. The feel of the strings over the frets on the guitar is magical. I would recomend people to get this guitar. You'll never regret it.
I have been playing guitar for about ten months now and the bc rich bich njc is by far the best guitar i have ever played i've played fender gibson shecter and ibanez and none have come close to this guitar i reccomend it to anyone who wants a bada** guitar for the money.
I was a bit skeptical at first about getting this guitar, but it was well worth the price. It plays like you would'nt believe with the sound to match. The only thing is it is a bit neck heavy so it takes a bit of effort to hold up. I don't know what it is about the neck but it plays extremely fast. buy this sweet guitar!
First I have owned 3 other Bc Rich's ranging from 2 warlocks, and a mockingbird...which were all nice guitars for the most part, so I was very confident that this would be amazing. Needless to say when this guitar arrived, the beauty of it just blew me away. Amazing craftsmanship. I sold my SG when I got this, cause I feel I have no need for it. Sounds as good or better than my Les Paul. Very little fret buzz on my low E string, but with a couple of adjustments, it's gone! I'm personally going to replace the pickups with some EMG's but the stock ones are very nice, just a personal preference. Stays in tune very nice. Haven't had any issues with that as of yet. I replaced the strings right away and this baby flies. Action is perfect for speed and easy playing. Out of this world sustain because of the solid neck through. Play it and buy it. Great guitar.
Just got my neckthrough bich today and i love it. So far id say the pickups aren't as bad as people claim they are. I play in a hair metal band and when i go to hit a pinch this guitar screams! Its amazing how nice this guitar sounds. One good feature to is the big strap buttons you really don't need strap locks. All in all this is an awesome guitar.
First off, for the price, it's good. I gave it a nine in features because it only has one tone nob. I gave it a nine in quality because it felt a little awquerd to play, althogh it wasn't broken in. Ten in value because the price is very good. Nine overall because of the other nines. It sounded better clean than dirty, and I use alot of distortion most of the time I play, so if your going to use this for slower songs where you might only use, say, delay/chorus, or other modulations, it sounds pretty good.
This is the best B.C. Rich I have ever played. Easy to play, the action is great for speed needed no adjustments, the body is made of about 3 different woods so the tone is balanced, and the shape is just killer. The PUPs are good too better than most B.C. Rich PUPs they just need to be closer to the strings are their pretty good, But im gunna switch em for the JB and Jazz, for more treble responce just personal taste. Overall i love this guitar and has become my main weapon over my gibson V and American Strat.
Not only does this guitar look awesome standing still, it plays effortlessly. The fretboard is flawless and the pick ups scream--if you let them. The neck thru construction leads to massive sustain. I got mine and haven't had to do a thing with the set up. String action and intonation were spot on. If you're looking for a new guitar in this price range, you've got to give this a try.
I recently purchased one of the candy apple red Bich's. I am very pleased with the playability and the hot pick-ups.I play this through a line 6 Vetta and a vintage Marshall 100 watt tube. This axe sounds awesome and the playability especially on the 17 and 19th frets is soooo easy. The third octave G rocks!!!Buy it you won't be disappointed. The craftsmanship is very good for the price. A slight buzz on the neck but a quick tune up and she rocks!
This NJ Classic Bich is a solid guitar. I've had this guitar for a bit over a year now and it has never done me wrong. The neck is fast, the action is nice and low and well, it looks great. The only problem with this guitar is its junk pickups. I've been procrastinating and havn't swaped them out yet. But that is a must if you get this guitar.
Buy this guitar if you play HEAVY METAL or HARD ROCK. These pickups are LOUD as HELL. The action is low and fast. Minimal fret buzz (5th fret) out of the box. Some neck, bridge and intonation adjustments and we're rockin'. HEAVY, MEATY, AGGRESSIVE, CRUNCHY, SICK, are but a few words to describe this beast when its distorted. (bring your noisegate). Made in Korea has come a long long way.
cool guitar. love the bich body style. it's the perfect mix of classic rock & modern metal. when i got mine, it had some pretty serious fret buzz on the low E & A. a couple adjustments later & the problem is "less" so, be prepared to pay a little more if you want it perfect.
