OVERVIEW

A limited edition with a set-neck, Bigsby and dual humbuckers.

The Eagle is truly an iconic B.C. Rich design. This limited-edition custom model combines a mahogany body and set-neck construction to deliver rich tone and endless sustain. The Bigsby tremolo brings an additional level of warmth and makes for smooth and effortless bends on its 24.5" scale, 24-fret easy access neck. The Eagle spreads its tonal wings further with two volume, one tone, and one 3-way toggle, offering subtle cleans and soaring, full-bodied sustain.

The custom black metal flake finish is highlighted with chrome hardware, diamond inlays, and rosewood fretboard so you can dig into every note. The binding on the neck and headstock completes this Eagle' custom and classic look.

I want to say right off the bat, that this is a fantastic guitar. The tones that I have achieved thus far range from blues, to early Priest. Think "Sad Wings" tone.

The Tremolo so far for me has been a love/hate thing. I love the looks and it functions pretty decent however, my low E and A go flat from only a slight wobble on the bar. As another review had stated, there is a slight issue keeping this guitar in tune. I am hoping that after the stock D' Adario strings have broken in, this issue will lesson. Time will tell as it has already been a good solid couple months with limited play (couple hours at most per week).

I would recommend this guitar highly "IF" it is on sale. If not, wait as it often is reduced in price. It looks gorgeous in person, pics do not do it justice!

Nevermind the price and nevermind the review (nearly everything on this website has at least four stars anyway). First of all this guitar cannot stay in tune. For supposedly 1000 value guitar this is completely unacceptable. Bixby tremolo is only for the looks and nothing else. The smallest use will make the strings go out of tune. Second the resale value is non-existent. Nobody will ever give you more than 200 for this instrument if you even find a buyer. Thus unless you are sure that this is what you want to play to posterity you will be stuck with mediocre instrument that perhaps looks good although it has this irritating BCRich inscription. No wonder it is periodically on sale.

This guitar is soooo sweet. Plays like butter, but can handle all the rough stuff. I'm a jazz/blues player, but my son likes to borrow it for his rock shows so much that I told him to keep it. Its a great all event guitar...and looks great too!

Comments about B.C. Rich Pro X Custom Eagle Electric Guitar:

I was somewhat skeptical when I bought this instrument, but it had everything I wanted and was on sale. I had the extra cash so I took the plunge. I can't be more happy that I did. What you need to know before buying this instrument is that you're not going to get a modern metal guitar. BC Rich have unfortunately associated themselves with pointy metal guitars that are bought by edgy teenagers who can't play. Fortunately, this guitar isn't that. While I'm sure that it could play modern metal quite well, it's designed to be a rocking machine. My main guitar for a long time has been a Gibson SG, and this guitar easily holds its own next to old faithful. The neck profile is very similar to a PRS SE neck, but is not quite as wide. The frets are low, which is a plus for me, and the cutaway is non-existent. I prefer matte finishes, but this is one of the smoothest gloss necks I've played on. I don't know if I just got a good one, but my hand never gets slowed down by the gloss. It came with perfectly set intonation, and low action. I've never received a guitar that didn't need a set-up before this one. It's reassuringly heavy, and all the knobs are good and chunky. Everything feels super sturdy and solid. The pickups are surprisingly good. Vintage voiced with lots of mids and highs. The neck pickup does the Seymour Duncan Custom Custom thing where it almost sounds like a single coil when played with medium to high gain. While I was impressed, I'll most likely replace them with PAF's or Bare Knuckles. It holds its tuning very well for non-locking tuners, but I'll probably replace them with a set of locking tuners. All in all it's a great instrument. It's everything you could ask for if you want a workhorse instrument, and you'll enjoy playing it.

Comments about B.C. Rich Pro X Custom Eagle Electric Guitar:

Its nice but definitly a set back from models as recent as 2005. I bought my classic deluxe black burst in 2008. Its the second guitar I ever bought and my favourite to play and it looks a lot cleaner than its red counterpart. As I've only everone other one like mine I would like to know if anyone knows when the black burst model was dicontinued. I can send pics of it as well because I would like to know the value. If anyone has information gibe me.shout

i am more of a collector then a player, so my review is more of a value assessment then anything else, the guitar is very well made, i do think that upgrading the tuners is all you might want to change, the pickups and all the knobs and switches are awesome the body and neck are solid, guitar has a nice balanced feel and a very cool design, the collector in me loves the stupid deal of the day price, i dont think that i would purchase this guitar at the normal price at this time, the value of this guitar will go up in time, so as a investment of the sale price you cant go wrong, so if you want a awesome guitar that sounds and plays great, i would recommend this guitar at the sale price to anyone..............PEACE

Comments about B.C. Rich Pro X Custom Eagle Electric Guitar:

I expected more out of a BC Rich product. Of course, it's been over 30 years since buying my first Warlock guitar but I must say the solid and durable feel gotten in earlier days appears to be a forgotten memory. I returned the thing.

Just plugged in and tuned. Handles great up and down fret board. Lots of kick. Action was set fine for me. Pickups are a little dirty, but that is why we have knobs on our amps. The B.C. plays as well as my Fenders and Gibsons at 1/4th the price. Very pleased.
