I got this guitar via ups a couple of days ago.I was very surprised when I first picked up the warlock.Mine has a string through body, very very cool.No stop piece to get in my way and more sustain. It is a very bright, hot sounding guitar, not like like Gibson, dark and heavy.I love the sound, lots of crunch and nice harmonics.Cleans are ok,but who plays clean with a warlock? The neck was set just righ,i had to lower the action a little, but that's it!It's a light guitar for it's size, very comfortable sitting,I have not tried it standing.I highly recomend this guitar,I am a 28(42 years old) year metal veteran who grew up on 80's metal and listens to all sorts of metal. This thing not only looks great but sounds and play unstoppable!

Overall the guitar is built for Metal & that is the exact reason I purchased it for. Plus the pickups that most people comment on are total crap is a lie (at least to me) even though they are stock, they give a real dirty/rotten sound when it comes to styles of Extreme Metal. It can be a perfect Death Metal or Thrash Metal guitar or just as is can be fitted to Bestial Black Metal mainly dealing around open chords/notes.

This is for real Metal, nothing more nothing less. Strap it on with a spiked leather strap & bang your head!
I only give the features a 9 because of two not very concerning issues (to me):

The tone knobs just like everyone else reviews on B.C. Rich guitars are a bit cheap and definitely made differently than let's say, Dean guitars. On a dean or most other electrics, the tone knobs can easily be popped off and you can notice rivets on the spoke the knob attaches back onto. Well the b.c. rich doesn't have that, when I go for unattaching a knob it feels like there are wires connected and will come out with the knob if disconnected. Not good. also, they are a bit loose.

The other thing was the little nut/clips that are on both sides of the guitar front/back that surround the strings through the body come out when you replace the strings (if you apply too much strength) which is mostly the case for me. But problem solved, just pop them back in with the new strings you put through.

Overall, everything else including pickups/tune-o-matic bridge/tuners are of great quality and are well built. The wood is interesting too, really hard & strong but is very light. A+ !!
I've tried 3 B.C. Rich guitars & the quality of this one is really the best, the others being low-range in price at 100-150$ that extra $100 dollars makes a big difference.

The wood on the neck is smooth just like a dean ML (my main guitar) and is very fast action, flat too if you like that. To me, this guitar resembles and identifies mostly with a Dean ML, somewhat same feeling with both bodies & playability.

The pickups are not for clean sounds but can ignorantly be chosen for that (laughs) I use the Bugera 333XL on clean channel with set eq's to perfectly derail the internal wire-thoughts of my distortion pedal! It sounds as if the amp is driving my pedal through the pickups on this Warlock with so much madness the distortion will disintegrate all things connected electronically. In other words, the sound is PUNISHING & declares a Mighty revenge to the previous Warlocks these past few years..

Buy this if you have the balls for it & if you can use this for what it's for. M E T A L!!!!

      Great quality.

got this guitar about 3 or 4 days after i ordered it and when the UPS guy came drop it off to me, it was like seeing santa clause on christmas night! it was shipped in 2 boxes, which was very appreciated, and when i opened it up it was a string-through instead of having a stop-bar, which was a plus for me. ive owned it for about 3 weeks now and it plays like it was forged in gehenna, and it can also play cleans like an angel. amazing price for the quality. you wont be disappointed if your looking for a great B.C. Rich for a good price. so if youre looking for a new guitar go ahead and get this one and be teh envy of your friends!

Iv'e had this guitar for a year now, and I play it at every gig I go to with my band. A lot of the people in our town consider this my "Signature" guitar, because I always play it. The stock pickups we're okay, but Iv'e dropped a pair of EMG 81/85's in it, and now its amazing.

                Beautiful guitar with excellent playability

Comments about B.C. Rich Revenge Warlock Electric Guitar:

I received this guitar yesterday and I stood a whole half an hour just looking at it on my guitar stand. It's an absolute artpiece. The white with the black body binding looks amazing and it's a bit more on the heavier side compared to other guitars which I like. I don't like playing a feather. It must feel heavy on me. It just plays great. As for the affordability of this guitar it's well worth it. It can stand it's ground against the higher models of the &499 - $699 range.

The pickups aren't bad at all. I got the guitar with 2x Seymour Duncan Designed Humbuckers. It's one of the cheaper range pickups of Seymour Duncan and it still sounds amazing. I like holding on to notes and I like it when the note just don't die out. I do this huge 5 - 10 second bends ending with a beautiful pinch harmonic and the pickups can handle that. I see some people have posted that the pickups are a bit muddy. What do they really mean by muddy? If you got a weak amp and pedal then obviously the sound is gonna be bad. Every guitarist dream is to perform live on stage even if it is for the fun of it. If you live close to the edge of "My equipment
is only just cutting it" then you are living dangerously, because even the higher end pickups wouldn't be as clear as it can be based on the fact that you got bad equipment.

The pedal that I would recommend is the Digtal Multi-Effects Pedals. It's only my opinion, but I own a Digitech RP355 Multi-Effects pedal and I've tested all the different tones there is to choose from and I can promise you it's quite a lot. You've got about 70+ difference tones from metal, hard rock, alternative rock, Jimi Hendrix blues tone, ACDC, Metallica ect. and in that tones you can set the gain, sharpness, bass, pickup depthness ect. on very tone option. I play it through a Crate 120W solid state amp.

                I hope this helps.

                Regards
                Stephan

                Holy Crap!

Comments about B.C. Rich Revenge Warlock Electric Guitar:

I own a Squire Stratocaster and an Epiphone les Paul that have been professionally set up. But neither of them played as well as my Warlock, out of the box. The action on this guitar is smooth and flexible, and the sound it delivers is nothing to laugh at either. I haven't heard as clear a sound since I played a hand made Fender Telecaster a few months back, and those are the stock pickups. This guitar clearly has potential to master genres other than Metal. It keeps in tune well, I'll give it that. It's not a complete lock-tone like in the picture. The strings come from the body, which I think is really cool. I'm glad I made this purchase. I haven't even had it tweaked yet, but I'm absolutely sure that there is little to nothing that needs to be done. I'm very impressed by my new BC Rich Warlock.

Thank you BC Rich for being so awesome.

I've owned several BC Rich's since the late 1980's, and I must say that I was surprised by this one. I bought it on impulse and remain truly impressed by the quality of the guitar, given the low price. I find the stock pickups to be very passable for metal music, I won't change them personally. I have bought many guitars that cost 3-4x as much as this one, that I have been 1/2 as pleased with. Great deal!

This thing is a totally amazing and awesome guitar! You will not regret it if you want metal looks and sound!
Got a little bit of a thick neck, and the pick ups aren't the greatest. Other than that this guitar has excellent tone and is a flat out beauty.
It's great work that has been done on this guitar. You will not regret it. Just treat it gently so that the spikes on the bottom don't chip and dull. Also make sure that you wipe it down with a clean cloth at least once every two weeks.
                Worth the money!
