OVERVIEW

Exceptional looks, extra-hot pickups and a Floyd Rose tremolo.

The list of Warlock players is as long as B.C. Rich's history. It is this storied history that places the Warlock high on the iconic guitar shelf. Here's an ideal choice if you're ready to step up the ladder to one of the B.C. Rich models with set neck and stay within budget.

This Warlock has all of the features that players require for better tone and playability. The mahogany body has a long set mahogany neck with slim heel for exceptional feel and sustain. It has a rosewood fretboard that's super smooth with a comfortable 12" radius and 24 jumbo frets. Extra-Hot BCR humbucking pickups are capable of producing a powerful variety of tones. Black hardware is used throughout including Steel Dome knobs, Deluxe R-Lock Floyd Rose licensed bridge and die-cast tuners. Case sold separately.

Comments about B.C. Rich Warlock Core X Electric Guitar:

I've been playing, collecting, and composing for over thirty years. I recall the second guitar I ever got was a BC Rich Warlock for just under 200 bills...with action an inch off the fretboard, I swear. But it looked so cool even if it was unplayable. I can laugh now. Seven to ten years ago, BC Rich had a really good lineup of Warlock Guitars, ever-changing but always delivering, and with their Iconic demon headstock....good all-around quality models even for mid-range instruments, around 500 to 1000 beans. The Warlock IS their emblematic design, and BC Rich was one of the three brands of guitar that was preeminent among hard rock and metal acts of the 1980's, and specifically for BC Rich's part, the Warlock model. In recent years, the respected, creative, and edgy BC Rich line-up, with its trademark exotic designs, has shrunk to few options, and the Warlock, which in recent years was slowly robbed of its iconic pieces, is now represented by low-end throw-away ghosts of what once was. BC Rich was once a market player of significance, now it emanates a 'going out of business air'. And the fabled Warlock, a design as instantly recognizable and iconic as an SG, is being treated like an old bike left out in the rain. You won't get what you're looking at in the picture, kids. You might get my old Warlock from 1984. And BC Rich has to decide if it wants its dignity back or if it wants to be someone's tax write off. The Warlock is too cool to let die as it has been allowed to do these last seven years. The gem is right here. It has history. Polish it, BC Rich. Jeez, do you need to be told?

Comments about B.C. Rich Warlock Core X Electric Guitar:

I have others brands of guitars and I also have had several BC rich and I am always impressed with their guitars.
This guitar is no exception. Top of the line in terms of action, playability and perfect set up upon arrival.
The plus side is that the pickups are custom and very quiet. I never see any reason to change them for metal or hard rock applications. Even clean they have a very musically sweet and well defined rock sound.
In distortions this is a metal dream axe.
The licensed Floyd Rose is good but, as almost all of the licensed ones , one a simple upgrade is needed to make them hold your guitar in tune. That is the springs. Get a set of three original German made blue steel springs directly from Floyd Rose and it will transform yours to become 90 percent as good as a professional grade in tone and staying in tune.

I can not say enough good things about this guitar an I am not readily head over heals with just any nice looking guitar!
