Meeting the demanding needs of today's acoustic guitarist.
The Identity Series guitars are handcrafted with a focus on functionality, ergonomics, and quality construction. The Identity Acute Auditorium has a cutaway auditorium body and features a vertical lift neck that allows on-the-fly action adjustments with the turn of an Allen key! It also utilizes the "icZ" Acoustic System, an innovative bridge design that increases the instrument's sonic range and dynamic response. By removing the strings from the bridge and anchoring them to the top of the guitar, lateral compression is created and the soundboard becomes fully energized. This results in a new level of sonic purity. Because there is very little stress on the center of the soundboard (the most flexible part), standard X-bracing can be replaced by a much more delicate and lighter bracing pattern. Notes ring true past the fifth fret, and the classic "choked" bass notes are freed once and for all.

I have a lot of high-end acoustics, (Taylor, Breedlove, Larrivee, Martin, etc.)but my Babicz is consistently the one I reach for because of its stellar tone and AMAZING neck. Forget the fact that you can *instantly* adjust the playing action from blues-approved slide-high to none-more-low shredfest. Now, I set my action up in about 5 seconds and haven't touched it since. The main reason I love the neck is because of its shape and workmanship. Flawless. Perfect. Like your favorite electric neck only better. The tone is without compromise as well. Loud, full and articulate. Never boomy or muddled. Also, this is my only acoustic that came pre-installed with BOTH strap buttons (thank you!). Truly a joy to play and a great value to boot.
I own both a dreadnought and the acute models. These guitars are terrific for the price they can be acquired. They are solid wood, project well, and the sustain is unbelievable. I will say that they can sound rather dull with old strings, but with new strings, they are astounding. Setting the action is so simple with that wrench, and in alternate tunings such as for slack key, these things are stellar. One thing I have noticed..I have had mine for a couple of years and there is zero bellying at the bridge. I live in Hawaii where humidity can really belly your solid wood guitars in no time unless they are kept properly humidified. I do that with my others, and this too, but there is no upward strain on the bridge, and thus, this thing should stay great forever. If you drop it...well, all bets are off. Highly recommend.
If you can get past the non traditional appearance these guitars are a steal at this price. A close friend has the auditorium cutaway. I play a taylor 710ce and in projection and clarity this is in that league for a fraction of the cost.
I think it's great that M.F. has these incredible guitars, I purchased an "Acute" & took it on a really rough yearlong run of shows, it took extreme temprature changes, humidity fluxuations that would twist most acoustics to expensive kindling. These guitars give boutique qualitys & appointments & puts them within reach of the everyday musician, Thanks Babicz, you've done it again.
