A cost-effective solution for the demanding needs of today's acoustic guitarist.
The Identity Series guitars are handcrafted with a focus on functionality, ergonomics, and quality construction. The Identity Jumbo features a vertical lift neck that allows on-the-fly action adjustments with the turn of an Allen key! It also utilizes the "icZ" Acoustic System, an innovative bridge design that increases the instrument's sonic range and dynamic response. By removing the strings from the bridge and anchoring them to the top of the guitar, lateral compression is created and the soundboard becomes fully energized. This results in a new level of sonic purity. Because there is very little stress on the center of the soundboard (the most flexible part), standard X-bracing can be replaced by a much more delicate and lighter bracing pattern. Notes ring true past the fifth fret, and the classic "choked" bass notes are freed once and for all.

I bought the Babicz Identity Jumbo Rosewood guitar on a whim and as a backup (beat-up) guitar to minimize mileage on my Gibson SJ-200, J45 Rosewood, Epiphone Texan McCartney and Martin OM-28V acoustics, but now I may need to buy another backup guitar for my Babicz backup! Yes, I'm starting to cherish it that much b/c it sounds and plays that good! Please don't let the fact that this thing is handcrafted in Indonesia deter you from buying it or even test driving it. I nearly did pass this up b/c of my acoustic snobbery, but boy am I glad I didn't. The sound is huge and open; resonant satin finish top sings like a hand-made custom guitar. The lows rumble similarly to my SJ-200 and the highs and mids are super clear and pronounced - making this guitar sound like a piano in your lap. All my friends can't believe how much I paid for a guitar this good. I'm an acoustic guitar junkie and planned on buying a Santa Cruz or Breedlove Revival Series one day, but now I'm seriously considering having Mr.Babicz make me a custom guitar. Dislikes: cheap but passable case; Grover tuners are cheap and inaccurate - need higher gear ratio to be passable; frets are a bit rough on the edge of the fingerboard; strings do not stay in tune after on-the-fly neck height adjustment as advertised. Likes: sound, playability, construction quality, comfortable satin neck, decent nut and saddle material, adjustable intonation. Make sure you have enough money in your account, b/c after you try it you'll most likely want to buy it.
This guitar is AMAZING! It's as if you had a piano @ your fingertips, it thunders & it whispers pure beautiful musical tone, unequaled by ANY acoustic guitar on the market new or used. This is a fine instrument for beginner & professional alike, Hats off to Babicz Guitars!!!
