Traditional and beautifully appointed with a solid Sitka spruce top.
The Bedell Heritage HGD-18-G Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar continues the tradition at Bedell for producing affordable and great-sounding guitars.
The HGD-18 features a solid A Sitka spruce top, one of the most popular woods for guitar tops today. Sitka spruce produces an even, clear response from low to high tones. Known to improve with age, a Sitka-top guitar should make a great companion for your musical journey. Bedell uses African sapele for the back and sides. This works well for a dreadnought guitar with a sitka top to generate a balanced tone with lots of texture.

Comments about Bedell Heritage HGD-18-G Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:
I was so impressed with an Orchestra bodied Bedell I bought here, that I just had to check out the dreadnought bodied version. Sapele sides and back with a solid Sitka spruce top, this guitar absolutely belts it out with clarity when strummed, yet has finesse and shimmers when picked. Once again, nearly perfect setup and tune right out of the box. It's a great comfort knowing someone takes such great care in prep and setup on a relatively inexpensive guitar. It looks and sounds like it should cost at least 4-5 times more than it does--no joke. Everyone I've shown it to has been amazed. So now I have TWO Bedell guitars, each with different character but the same fine quality. I wish I could afford one of the more expensive solid bodied models--but maybe someday. This is already better than 90% of brands I've played or heard. I honestly don't know why this company isn't better known. Do yourself a favor and get one.
