Good for beginners who are going to stay in the same tuning and dont really now how to play. But I wouldnt recommend buying one. The amp sounds like crap unless you hook it up to a pedal and I dont recommend using the whammy because you're strings get caught on the bridge and then snap. I am looking forward to buying a Dean.
I started playing guitar again after some years and had sold or given away my guitars and only had a cheap acoustic laying around so I purchased this set and have had no problems whatsoever with any of the equipment. I beat it up, throw it around, shred on it and it seems to take the blows. Although I would definitely invest in some mid-range humbuckers, not too expensive, I can say that this start guitar is amongst the best beginners I have played. But it only goes that far, not on the stage, just to learn.
I bought this a while ago around June, and I have to say I love it. The Guitar is great for a professional musician looking for a good back-up guitar or a beginner. The amp's overdrive feature however doesn't sound the greatest when it's volume is over 5. I recommend this for any starting musician. Just be careful with the tuner it started going bad on me around July and I had to get a new one.
This guitar sounds very good. The quality is very high for the price paid, and I bet when compared to another guitars there is little difference. The humbucker is kick a**!! The amp is okay for practice, and all the little extras it came with helped me a lot as a beginner. I could use a cloth strap, but I see why they went with nylon for price. I play metal and classic rock...I paid for it with christmas money, and basically the whole package is FUN!
This guitar is an awesome shredding guitar. it's an awesome begginner and regular guitar. The pickups are great and i reccomend it.
This is a very good guitar for people just starting to get the hang of playing. The neck slides pretty fast, and the actual string sound is very deep. The low E string is a little funny when it comes to tuning, but you'll get the hang of it. amp sounds very great. picks look fabulous. overall, great buy!!!
This guitar is a good beginner's guitar. Humbucker changes a bit but if you are a rythm shredder, the neck pick - up has a nice deepening tone. Soft neck, but not very fast. String removal is a pain if string breaks at bridge.
This is a great guitar. Friend has it and it works great. Good pickups, good everything. I highly recommend it.
All I have got to say is, the humbuckers are too loose, it looses tune quickly, it doesnt do so great on amplifiers and even though its a shredding guitar, you just can't quite do it on this one. The fret bars make it immpossible to move fast enough cause they are far too close together... buy if its your first, but really only for all the other stuff, it's worth it, the guitar on the other hand... not so great.
