Comments about Blueridge BR-43 Contemporary Series 000 Acoustic Guitar:

I was looking for a quality guitar for travel at an affordable price---not made of wood and HPL but at least a solid top. The Blueridge BR43 fits this bill nicely. It's got a bone nut and saddle, solid top, laminate back & sides. And it's a OOO sized body, which is a nice size. The tone is surprisingly good, and the attention to detail(frets, tuners, finish) has been done well. This sounds like a more expensive guitar…so for trips and just playing around the house, I'd recommend it.

Comments about Blueridge BR-43 Contemporary Series 000 Acoustic Guitar:

A year or two ago, I went on the hunt for a new acoustic. I played everything I could get my hands on to make the correct choice. I didn't pick the br-43 (ended up with a martin and a vintage harmony) but I think this model has the best sound for the price of anything I've played. If you aren't concerned about brand name or laminate woods, this guitar is a great choice.

a side note, the PRS SE One, in my opinion, is the best bang-for-your-buck on the electric side.

Comments about Blueridge BR-43 Contemporary Series 000 Acoustic Guitar:

I have owned Martins and the new ones are no better or worse than any Blueridge model. Blueridge is an AMERICAN company building in Asia...but the quality is on a world class level... even Martin builds some models in Mexico.....

Love it!

By Codie Franklin

Comments about Blueridge BR-43 Contemporary Series 000 Acoustic Guitar:

Overall this is an amazing instrument, I've loved it and I'll never get rid of it!
This guitar looks amazing, and has a beautiful sound to match it!
This guitar sounds amazing, and is very very easy to play! I love the smaller body guitars, and with most they tend to not put out as much sound, but this one still puts out a great amount of sound!
This is a great value guitar! It doesn't cost as much as a higher end guitar, but in my opinion it gives some the higher end acoustics a run for their money, I think any buyer would be happy with this guitar!

Decent tone; minor quirks

Comments about Blueridge BR-43 Contemporary Series 000 Acoustic Guitar:

Great build quality, straight neck, tuners are fine, VERY nice sounding. Came with 12's; it being for my daughter means they got replaced with 10's. As for the not-so-good: bridge pins were plastic crap and two of them were too loose fitting, so I replaced them with standard size TUSQ pins which all fit very snugly. The headstock is rather small, meaning that the B and the A strings are deflected to one side a bit by the tuning posts below them. I don't see where that causes a problem but it is a bit weird. The tuners are all just too close together. And the non-compensated saddle will be replaced with an adjusted one someday; the intonation is close enough but still off with the stock saddle. But it plays just fine with Martin 10's on it.This is a good guitar. It's not up to the Martin 000-15 but it is one third the price and sounds very sweet, better than I expected it to.

AWESOME Little Martin Tone!

By Curbside

from Portland, OR

Comments about Blueridge BR-43 Contemporary Series 000 Acoustic Guitar:

This acoustic guitar by Blueridge is an amazing tone machine in a 000 Martin sized guitar. The solid wood top resonates like no other I've heard. Warm and balanced tone, but with slightly less volume than a standard dreadknot. The Bone nut and saddle are nice additions to such a value priced guitar. Yes its made in China, but it doesn't sound or play like it is. BTW any classical sized case or gigbag fits this guitar perfectly.
