OVERVIEW

Great tonewoods and appointments make this an acoustic worth every penny.

Guitarists who desire a big, rich and powerful tone in a compact package need look no further than the new Blueridge BR-73A. Flashing abalone pearl outlines the border of the solid Adirondack spruce top, as well as the soundhole rosette and the outlined hexagonal fingerboard inlays.

The gleaming, highly-polished natural finish shows off the beauty of the well-selected woods, which include lovely Santos rosewood for back and sides and choice, solid mahogany for the slim, easy-playing neck. With fingerboard and bridge of East Indian rosewood and nickel-plated, vintage-style butterbean tuners, the superb BR-73A blends vintage and contemporary styling elements into one, superb guitar that is perfect for all musical styles. Case sold separately.

Comments about Blueridge Contemporary Series BR-73A 000 Acoustic Guitar:

Aprx 5 years ago I purchased a new Martin guitar with the same body style as this, Fishman Aura pickups and all. I have got to tell you that this Blueridge can more than hold it's own to the Martin guitar I had which cost more than four times this amount. I'm glad I had a choice too with the pickups now because I wouldn't want this with the Aura but instead I would get a Myers Pickup which is easily put on and off and requires no MODIFICATIONS to the guitar and you don't need the giant "barn door" on the side either. The only difference between this and the Martin is Blueridge is sooo much more comfortable to play.
Other people will write reviews advising a different direction but they are advocating Nationalism and hope you ignore the fact that we have a global economy.

Comments about Blueridge Contemporary Series BR-73A 000 Acoustic Guitar:

I bought my Blueridge BR-73 almost 10 years ago when it was about half its current price. Despite being a small body 000 guitar, it has a rich full tone and bass without the boominess of a dreadnought. My guitar arrived in the mail set up and ready to play. The genuine abalone inlay around the body, soundhole, and fretboard is spectacular. Yes, it's made in China, but it's a reverse-engineered copy of a Martin OOO-42 at a fraction of the price.

Comments about Blueridge Contemporary Series BR-73A 000 Acoustic Guitar:

The guitar sounded very good out of the box. Replacing the strings with a set of medium Elixirs and replacing the plastic saddle pins with Tusqs really brought the guitar to life. Excellent rich tone, balance and volume. I have a Blueridge BR-180 I love to play and wanted a 000 guitar also. Blueridge was my first choice and I took the chance of ordering online. It was a good choice. I am more than satisfied with this BR-73A.
