Comments about Breedlove 2014 Studio Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I grabbed this guitar on a whim because it was a Stupid Deal, and I've heard good things about Breedlove. I've primarily played Taylors in the past, but I didn't have the budget for a Taylor at the moment. I've been nervous about ordering acoustic guitars online because I'm very particular about acoustic sound quality and especially intonation. Too many acoustics are impossible to tune to be able to play both the keys of E and D, and that's a big hangup for me.

Surprisingly, this guitar came out of the box and plays perfectly. The action is excellent, and the intonation is spot on. I haven't had any problem with the tuning going whacky as I move up the neck or jump from E to D.

The tone is very balanced and seems a bit fuller and louder than most Breedloves that I've played in stores. The finish is gorgeous, and the satin finished neck is a breeze to play.

The Deluxe Foamshell Case is also impressive. I was expecting a mildly padded gig bag that I'd have to replace with a case. This case doesn't have sold wooden or plastic sides, but it is built of rigid foam that would protect the guitar from most bumps and blunders that you're likely to encounter.

I was kind of expecting to feel like I was settling for something other than what I really wanted, but there's nothing about this guitar that makes me feel that way.

Comments about Breedlove 2014 Studio Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

First of all I am not much of an acoustic guitar player, I have been playing electric guitar for over 40 years but always seem to struggle with the acoustic. This Breedlove guitar is a very well constructed instrument, the frets are finished nicely, the action is good and the tone is well balanced. I bought this guitar mostly for the fact that it is made primarily of maple which is my favorite guitar wood. Some of the nice features are the pinless bridge and the onboard tuner has a really easy to read digital display, it also comes with two endpins for strap attachment and the sound is good unplugged or electric. It is not a Taylor or a Gibson but a great value especially for someone like me that doesn't deserve a more expensive acoustic, lol.

Comments about Breedlove 2014 Studio Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have had my eye on a this Breedlove for a while. I've done a lot of research and comparisons. I had been waiting for the right time to buy it, when it came up on "the stupid deal of the day" I couldn't pass..and glad I didn't. Everything I researched is proving true. Sound and feel are excellent, the look and finish is professional. The easy read tuner is an added bonus. If you want an excellent guitar without paying for a "name", you've found it (Breedlove is a better name than most anyway) . It's well worth full price, a steal on sale!

Comments about Breedlove 2014 Studio Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I am so happy with this guitar! The look and sound are gorgeous, and the electronics are great. It's a perfect size for people who like a slightly smaller/more comfortable guitar but don't want to feel like they're playing a kids guitar. I play both strumming and fingerstyle and it sounds great for both. I also think Breedlove is a great, more unique alternative to other quality brands like Martin/Gibson/Taylor. All around, I highly recommend this guitar!

Comments about Breedlove 2014 Studio Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I was lucky enough to pick this up during their Stupid Deal of the Day sale. What a deal it was too!

The guitar is beautiful and sounds amazing.

To be 100% honest, I had to return the first guitar after having it for about a month due to the neck having a hump in it where it meets the body. This was probably due to not keeping the guitar in a humidity controlled environment but it also had a slight problem when I first got it. Even one of the strings was very bright.

Musicians Friend quickly replaced the guitar for me and the new one is perfect! The sound is amazing and it much better than the first - so maybe it wasn't just my fault for not using a humidifier.

I did purchase a humidifier for this one now - so this should hopefully never be an issue again.

The built-in tuner is fantastic and is one of my favorite features.

The case was a huge surprise as it is a VERY nice thick padded case. For it to be included is just awesome.

I am extremely happy with this purchase and everyone that sees/hears it - loves it!

Comments about Breedlove 2014 Studio Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I'm a paid musician/worship leader that has been playing for over 30 years. I own low, medium and high-end acoustics and electrics (Squier, Epiphone, Boulder Creek, Martin, Taylor, Takamine, Fender, Gretsch, PRS), and I am a "practical" collector - meaning that I buy guitars to use them, not display them. This is my first Breedlove, and I am impressed.

If you can get this Korean-made guitar on sale then it's worth it. The usual price tag is a bit too high in my opinion because there are comparable guitars by Martin, Taylor Takamine and Gibson at that price. It's hard to choose a Breedlove over those others for the same price. Don't worry, this guitar is still very solid and I'm very happy with it.

I bought this guitar to use as my everyday beater, but it has seen good use on stage and in recording. I use the Martin and Taylor baritone 8-string occasionally because I don't want to wear then down. My other regular stage/recording acoustic is a Boulder Creek Jumbo A/E and it's blonde with a blonde maple fretboard. Many musicians like sounding great AND looking unique so the Boulder Creek and this Breedlove fit the bill, but I the Breedlove fretboard is easier to solo because of the cutwaway, and it can almost sound just as rich/robust as the jumbo when plugged in.

The tone, feel, playability, and sound (both plugged and unplugged) are much better than expected for it's cutaway design. It sounds very well balanced and full plugged in, but still has a very robust and full sound unplugged. The preamp works well to help dial in the sound you want - bright or dark, heavy or light. This guitar should really shine if you are coffee house or church performer - it does for me. I use it with a VoiceLive 3 and the vocal/guitar combination is fantastic. Visually this guitar is very pretty and stands out from "normal" acoustics.

Highly consider it if it's on sale and you want a satisfying and solid A/E guitar. For the sale price it's remarkably great. You could still shell out $$ for the non-sale price and be happy with it, except you'd be a little poorer.
