Comments about Breedlove 2015 Stage Concert Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I purchased the 2014 concert stage on close out. So for the price it was an excellent value. The reason I bought it was for stage use. I have a Taylor 214CE which sounds great acoustically but plugged in is less impressive. The LR BAGGS electronics in the Breedlove sound fantastic and a Taylor can't come close to it. The body is comfortable for playing on stage. The neck is satin finished which feels great and the action is nice and low and easy to play. Now for the cons which there really is only one. This is a slightly smaller tapered body and doesn't project as loud as a similar quality dreadnaught or the Taylor 214CE. It's has plenty of clarity but lacks on volume. Its still has a good acoustic sound but if you are not playing on stage or plugging in fuller bodied guitar may be preferred. This is my go to guitar when practicing with a group or performing. I see they have a flame maple version on deal of the day so considering pulling the trigger on that. At half the price of a comparable Taylor well worth the price.

Comments about Breedlove 2015 Stage Concert Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Wanted to move to a smaller acoustic-electric for band practice and performing. Been using a Breedlove Atlas D25-SM (since 2006). This guitar (2014 model) came with just a little neck relief (almost flat -just as I like it :). Switched the saddle out, put on lower gauge strings and it plays just as nicely as my D25. As stated here and elsewhere, it is relatively quiet unplugged and lacks the bass of a dreadnought - duh. BUT!!! plugged in I can eq the bass back in (in fact, considerably more than I could get without feedback using the D25)! So, I keep the playability and overall sound quality and I can get more bass prior to feedback.
