Comments about Breedlove Atlas Series Solo D350/CMe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
The tone is amazing. And that's the real kicker for me. I fingerpick and strum. I play a variety of different styles and it takes to all of them effortlessly. Surprisingly it is not over bassy even though it is a Jumbo Dreadnaught which is probably one of the deepes body acoustics you can buy. I think that extra monitor hole allows just enough to escape to keep it balance plus the graded top is tuned for that as well. It is very articulate and warm for fingerpicking and very balanced for strumming. Plugged in it sounds amazing. I play at church and record it every week. The straight in tone is beautiful. I really can say I haven't played another guitar this versatile that sounds this good and I've had it for 6 months and am still this in love with it.
This guitar has some great stuff for this price range. Good woods. Monitor hole. Nice pickup w/ built in tuner. The bridge truss system is awesome too. My previous 2 acoustics both had problems with bowing at the bridge. This allows you to always easily keep that in check. Mine came with a soft case but I think they come with a hard case now. The soft case still offers pretty good protection.
In this price range it can't be beat. I played many other guitars before deciding on this one, Taylors, Martins, Takamines, Ibanez, Alvarez, etc. I've been playing guitar for over 12 years and frequent every guitar store in town regularly. I've played many high end guitars at three times the price. This guitar has been a better fit for me than any others I've picked up. Its not as noticeably solid as say a twice the price Martin or a boutique Bourgeois, but it will do fine if you take care of it. The bridge truss offers some extra stability which is nice. The tuners are good quality and smooth. The through bridge stringing takes a little getting used to. The tips of the strings get stuck sometimes but at least you don't have to worry about losing tuning pegs.
Taking everything in mind as far as what you're getting for this price it's an obvious 10.
