Comments about Breedlove Atlas Series Solo D350/CMe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I was looking for a Jumbo sized guitar and was waiting anxiously for this one to arrive. Although this is a fantastic guitar in every way, it is NOT a Jumbo! This is a dreadnought sized guitar, which is smaller than a jumbo. Someone at MF just got it wrong. Best to go to Breedlove website and check the specs before buying.

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Series Solo D350/CMe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Initially I was a bit hesitant thinking really an Atlas Series and hardshell case but I am so pleased. As an owner of too many (according to my wife) acoustic guitars to include a couple of Taylor's and a Passport I actually paid more for at a national retail store 4 years ago. Anyway as this guitar is opening up it is starting to become the axe of choice. I concur with the notch idea on the beautiful case as it is really tight and the rubber side hole plug is too tight so I leave it out as it sounds better anyway. If you order this or any Breedlove you'll be pleased and as always Musician's Friend's service is second to none. You will never be disappointed.

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Series Solo D350/CMe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have 3 other Acoustics that all needed work to get them to play nice and smooth without being stiff feeling. This Breedlove played fantastic right out of the case, only needed tuning. The quality and craftsmanship are top notch.

As far as sound and setup they are very subjective. To me it sounds and feels excellent. The cedar top does sound warmer than a spruce top. Be aware this is a jumbo sized body.

As far as a well put together guitar that plays and sounds great right out of the box this Breedlove fit the bill perfectly. If your looking for an affordable Acoustic, Breedlove deserves a serious look.

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Series Solo D350/CMe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I sold 2 of my Taylor's after purchasing my first Breedlove (atlas C350) so when I saw this D350 on sale, I scooped it up without hesitation. Came out of the box setup perfectly. Do a lot of percussive playing with the use of loops in my live performance and have figured out a way to make the L R Baggs pickup system respond to it, although more difficult without the body sensor of the ES system that my Taylor's had. Honestly I like the tone of this guitar better then that of the Taylor plugged in. So far the neck has been perfect staying in tune for days without any tweaking and I do 7-8 gigs a week. Switched to elixir strings when I got it and that always helps. LOVE IT!!!!

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Series Solo D350/CMe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Right out of the box, this is a great guitar! The description online said it came with a soft case but it came in the professional hard case. The plush interior fits tight and very securely.

The case was just the first plus. It came with my preferred strings, D'Addario EXP17 medium gauge. The action was fantastic and didn't need any adjustment at all. The LR Baggs preamp is very good and it's easy to get the sound that anyone would like. The sound was powerful with a clear balance from top to bottom. This is my 4th Breedlove from Musician's Friend, all from their "Stupid Deals." An Atlas 250 CRe H, an Atlas Studio N250 CRe classical, and an awesome American made Pro Series c251/CRe H. I ordered his new one without any hesitation as soon as I got the email.

Any of the Breedlove Atlas Series guitars are perfect for a gigging player that doesn't need to worry about the nicks and dings that happen over use. I keep the Pro Model at home for recording.

If you haven't played on a Breedlove Atlas Series or any of the US made models, you should really check them out. I haven't played any of their lower priced models, but I'm sure they would be perfect for a first guitar. If you start with the Atlas, you'll be way ahead of most other brands with the same features.

The minimalist appointments and satin finish are just fine for me. It's the neck, action, bridge, nut and sound what matters the most, and this one delivers. Solid top and back with the laminate sides is very close to an all solid model.

Half off of Musician's Friend's great price was an incredible steal for this model. The case alone was worth more than 1/4 of the total. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the top hole. While it might be a nifty attraction for new players, but it is not needed. It's loud enough without it. It does come with a rubber cover on it, which is a good point.

All in all, this guitar delivers the goods whether you just play at home, or playing in a band. It's even a good choice for recording.

Whenever Musician's Friend offers a deal like this on any Breedlove guitar, buy it! You will love it and you can't go wrong. Even if you don't like it or have any problems when you get it from them, returning it to Musician's Friend is a breeze.

This guitar was even better than I expected. Right out of the box it played beautifully. The tone is wonderful thanks to the cedar top which gives a warmth I love. This guitar is wonderful in the studio and records like a dream. I also own a Seagull as well as a Martin and this is rapidly becoming my "go to" guitar. Price-wise it surpasses all in its class as a top value

Right out of the box, this guitar played like others that cost three times as much. It's a 25 1/2" scale neck and slightly thinner than most making it comfortable to play. The L.R. Baggs system sounds great and is easy to manipulate for any situation. The build quality is flawless. The only negative thing I can think of is that the interior of the FREE hard-shell case needs a notch taken out to prevent the volume knob from popping off. Seriously, this is a great find for someone looking for an inexpensive, performance-ready guitar with good sound and playability.

                      Amazing!!!

                      By Ben Pierce

                      from Louisiana

Comments about Breedlove Atlas Series Solo D350/CMe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

The tone is amazing. And that's the real kicker for me. I fingerpick and strum. I play a variety of different styles and it takes to all of them effortlessly. Surprisingly it is not over bassy even though it is a Jumbo Dreadnaught which is probably one of the deepes body acoustics you can buy. I think that extra monitor hole allows just enough to escape to keep it balance plus the graded top is tuned for that as well. It is very articulate and warm for fingerpicking and very balanced for strumming. Plugged in it sounds amazing. I play at church and record it every week. The straight in tone is beautiful. I really can say I haven't played another guitar this versatile that sounds this good and I've had it for 6 months and am still this in love with it.
This guitar has some great stuff for this price range. Good woods. Monitor hole. Nice pickup w/ built in tuner. The bridge truss system is awesome too. My previous 2 acoustics both had problems with bowing at the bridge. This allows you to always easily keep that in check. Mine came with a soft case but I think they come with a hard case now. The soft case still offers pretty good protection.
In this price range it can't be beat. I played many other guitars before deciding on this one, Taylors, Martins, Takamines, Ibanez, Alvarez, etc. I've been playing guitar for over 12 years and frequent every guitar store in town regularly. I've played many high end guitars at three times the price. This guitar has been a better fit for me than any others I've picked up. Its not as noticeably solid as say a twice the price Martin or a boutique Bourgeois, but it will do fine if you take care of it. The bridge truss offers some extra stability which is nice. The tuners are good quality and smooth. The through bridge stringing takes a little getting used to. The tips of the strings get stuck sometimes but at least you don't have to worry about losing tuning pegs.
Taking everything in mind as far as what you're getting for this price it's an obvious 10.
