Exceptional tonewoods and build.

Beautiful to look upon as well as hear, this superb instrument draws its sonic power and clarity from the Pacific Northwest-grown myrtlewood top, back and sides. Comments about Breedlove Oregon Concert Limited Myrtlewood 6-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I bought one of these at Guitar Center a couple of weeks ago and have played it until my fingers are just shredded. I'm not easily impressed by an acoustic but I walked into the Guitar Center on a Friday afternoon and was drawn to this particular guitar because of its unique look. I hadn't ever seen or heard of a myrtlewood guitar before. After playing it a few minutes I knew it was something special. I left the store and thought about that guitar all weekend and on Monday I went back in and snapped it up. No regrets. Mine is a gorgeous guitar. What's unique about these is that no two are alike. I'm very glad I got it.

Comments about Breedlove Oregon Concert Limited Myrtlewood 6-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Like another reviewer, I purchased this beautiful guitar but sent it back because the bass response is very flat. Perhaps it was this one guitar only? Maybe, but I heard the same thing in an acoustic room when I played the display model. No doubt, it's one gorgeous instrument and I really wanted to love it, the mids and highs are silky and sound great when fingerpicking, but that dead bass was so out of character with the rest of the guitar that I couldn't fathom spending close to $2k for 2/3rds of a great guitar. It really is a great feeling guitar, plays so easy and feels so balanced physically, that I thought for a minute about sacrificing low-end sound for the rest of the package. Ultimately, if the bass was anywhere near the rest of the guitar, I'd be shouting praise for Breedlove near and far. However, I'm now going to take a closer look at the under-the-radar new Guilds. Hope Breedlove steps up their tone game.

Comments about Breedlove Oregon Concert Limited Myrtlewood 6-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have owned 7 prewar Martins in my time, and a host of other guitars including Taylor, Tacoma, etc.
This is my second Breedlove and I can say it is tops in every category, most importantly - that sound, it's simply superb !

Comments about Breedlove Oregon Concert Limited Myrtlewood 6-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Beautiful wood drew me to purchase it. Just like that extremely pretty girl that you always fantasized about, then she opens her mouth and your fantasy is over. I have an Epiphone Masterbilt that looks rather plain but sounds much nicer. Bass is almost non existent. Reading about the warranty experience of a previous buyer made me second guess keeping it, although beautiful, not worth it. I returned it.

Like a quality shoe that fits just right, so does this guitar. The size is VERY comfortable against your body. The resonance that comes from this all solid wood guitar is amazing. Love the wood grain, and attention to detail. I would highly recommend this fine instrument to anyone.

Comments about Breedlove Oregon Concert Limited Myrtlewood 6-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Bridge plate separated from soundboard and took a chunk of soundboard with it. While the Greedlove bridge truss system seems to work, this model does not have it. When the customer service dept was contacted to honor the "lifetime warranty", the experience was downright frustrating and insulting. The bottom line is I am stuck with this piece o' "deco wall art" and out nearly 2 grand, plus having had my veracity and competence questioned by "two old hippies". BTW, this is no. 6 in 7 Greedlove purchases. First five were made in Korea and excellent. Last 2, this myrtlewood and a "premier Jumbo acoustic 12 string" were made in Bend Oregon by "Two Old Hippies", the Co. that bought out Breedlove and changed it to "Greedlove". Buyer beware. Customer Service is nonexistent.
