OVERVIEW

Locally sourced wood in a great acoustic guitar.

For the player who wants the stout projection of a Breedlove dreadnought with the unique look, midrange fullness, depth, clarity, and liveliness of locally sourced myrtle. The most accessible American-made platform for the Breedlove rounded dreadnought, it's voiced to project defined tone with volume and clarity and features a slightly rounded upper bout to provide a great sound chamber and to be less restrictive for the player.

Comments about Breedlove Oregon Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Although I was first introduced to Breedlove through the popularity of their concert sized guitars, this dreadnought is just what I was looking for. I played this model in a local store and couldn't put it down. Unsatisfied with their willingness to work with me on price, I picked up the phone and called MusiciansFriend. I took advantage of a sale they were running; two days later this beauty arrived. From the moment I opened the case I was completely amazed at the value of this USA made all-solid wood guitar. The grain of the Myrtlewood is really cool. Overall, the highlights of this guitar include: Flawless fit and finish. Smooth, fast maple neck. Articulate notes in every range. (the bass notes are amazing) Electronics do a great job for live applications. Included hard case is rock solid. Don't hesitate if you are considering.

Comments about Breedlove Oregon Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

if you want a pure, consistent sound, with amazing harmonics that sound as good any acoustic guitar on the market(in this price range) then buy the Oregon Dreadnaught model with the myrtlewood back and sides, and sitka spruce top. A beautiful instrument that has the quality and consistency a serious player is looking for.
I've owned mine for a year or so and have no complaints about the quality or sound. Its a large guitar, so females beware but it plays super easy. Well worth the money for the quality of sound and overall craftsmanship. I love this guitar! I have an Epiphone, Ibanez, fender, and other acoustic guitars and they don't sound as good as this one.
one piece of advice for any player is to use a a tuning device you attach to the end of the neck. i.e., Snark brand tuner. your playing and singing will improve when you learn to play and sing in tune.

Comments about Breedlove Oregon Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Breedlove makes fantastic guitars and the Oregon series definitely shows their craftsmanship. The dreadnought size has a superb bass tone but it is not overpowering and it has an astonishing clarity in the notes. This guitar works well with both strumming and fingerstyle. The electronics sound great, the only downside being that the strings must be loosened in order to change the battery. The myrtle wood back and sides look absolutely phenomenal and add a unique tone to an otherwise classic guitar shape. I play small venues and in a worship band as well and this guitar has served perfect for those scenarios.

Comments about Breedlove Oregon Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have owned about 20 guitars over the years and I have never been more impressed by a guitar. If I could only have one guitar it would be this one (and the other two I currently own cost considerably more).

The bass is everything one could want in a dreadnought. And the clarity, sustain, playability. There is nothing bad about this guitar!!!
