The value packed Passport Plus C200/SR is a bold acoustic concert-body guitar with tasteful aesthetic enhancements and upgrades to the Breedlove standard Passport guitar lineup.
Highly desirable for today’s demanding musicians, the C200/SR is built around a compact concert body that produces remarkably focused sound with great clarity and high-end sparkle. Breedlove Passport Plus C200/SR is a nice looking concert size guitar. A bit heavy for it?s? size, that could be due to the fact that the top piece is a bit thicker than most acoustics. It has a fairly thick gloss finish on it as well. The standard size neck (a bit on the bulky side) has a satin finish. The action out of the box is high. The fit and finish is fairly good.C200/SR does have a pretty good volume for its? smaller size but it lacks the low frequency projection. The bass notes are not as clearly defined as on a Dreadnought. However, it is more comfortable to hold than a bigger body. It has a bridge truss which is located (you guessed it) under the bridge to relieve string tension on the body and it is accessible through the sound hole. I do like the stringing method, just like an electric guitar, no need for bridge pins. This Breedlove comes with a gigbag which is nothing to brag about. It has a thin, but dense padding. If you want a smaller and more comfortable guitar to hold and don?t care about full projection, buy this guitar. If it?s the sound and full projection you?re after, buy a Dread or a Jumbo. About me:I've been playing for 36 years and currenlty I own several acoustics and electrics.
This is an excellent playing guitar. I was very impressed with the finish and how easy it is to play. I would buy another Breedlove guitar in the future. Excellent guitar!
