Comments about Breedlove Passport PLUS C250/SBe Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I am very pleased with this purchase. It is for a youth ministry praise band & sounds amazing. I ordered a restock to save money & the guitar we received us almost perfect. There is one small nick in the wood near the logo. It certainly doesn't effect the sound at all. This is a huge step up from the cheap Yamaha we were using. I highly recommend this guitar. It performs far better than we expected & is an exceptional value.

Comments about Breedlove Passport PLUS C250/SBe Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have played guitar ever since I can remember, I think I was about 6. I am turning 18 this summer, and I have never owned an acoustic electric and really needed one now that I'm in a band. I only owned a Samick which isn't very great and is starting to fall apart. Was great while it lasted though:). I went into a guitar store today, just to try out some guitars, I found this one and played it, and knew I had to have it. Even though it comes with kind of a high action, it was still an ease to play. With a little adjusting with the action this will be an amazing guitar. The picture of this guitar doesn't even give it the justice it deserves. It is very glossy and truly a beautiful instrument. At first I didn't know much about Breedlove and when I went to youtube to see demos, most of them were fingerstyle so I wasn't sure about how they strum. This one strums very well and holds its tune (absolutely can't say enough good things about the tuning machines). The preamp is very nice, it has a high, low, and volume. The preamp tuner is very accurate, and the bright blue back-light really helps when tuning my guitar at gigs, and it runs on a 9 volt, which is down by the button strap jack. The string-thru bridge is a huge plus for me, i never liked pins for some reason, mainly because changing strings is very fast compared to guitar with pins. I tried guitars with pins and this one sounded better than all of them. I went with this one instead of the C250/CMe because this one just sounded brighter and seemed to project more, and the looks alone were worth spending the extra 100. I recommend both but really recommend trying both of them out to see which one fits you. Both are wonderfull. Breedlove fan for life now. Plays better than you would think a guitar with this price could. Oh yeah and the satin finish neck is amazing! Very fast to play and gives you a lot of control. Love it. Will do another review in a year or two to see if anything changes, but so far, amazing. Good job with this one Breedlove.

Comments about Breedlove Passport PLUS C250/SBe Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar after reading great reviews and have mixed feelings towards it. As far as sound goes, it scores in a range with much more expensive guitars (Taylor, Martin, etc) and has a bright clear tone, but when it comes to playability it's a little lacking. I have a Taylor and the neck is plenty wide and very comfortable, but the Breedlove has a very narrow neck and makes chord changes kind of a chore. The tuner is also a bit cheap and always tunes a little flat. Maybe that's because I got the lefty version? All in all a great sound for under a grand.

Comments about Breedlove Passport PLUS C250/SBe Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I'm very happy with this guitar! The strings were not the best upon arival, and it sounded a bit muffled. I replaced them with Ernie Ball strings and it now sounds great! The new strings really brought out the brightness that this guitar is capable of while maintaining the rich low tones. The built-in tuner is the best I've seen by far with a needle type display rather than lights and arrows, which is more common for built-in tuners. The finish and the wood is beautiful, particulaly the back. The action is a bit higher than I prefer, and I may need to take it in to have the setup adjusted for a lower action. Overall, I really like the guitar and its clear rich sound. It's a great instrument for the price, and the softcase it comes with is a bonus. The soft case is very well put together with a cool Breedlove logo embroidered on the front.

I was loking at Taylors and played the Breedlove. I tell you, I fell in love with it and I still completly enjoy playing it now. I have four other guitars and always grab the Breedlove. I realize it isn't made in the states; but the quality is there.
Can't beat it for the money.

I bought this guitar from MF 6 months ago and although I loved it right out of the box I like it more each time I play it. I agree with the other reviewer regarding the gig bag that ships with it and had the exact same concerns with the size and the zipper. That bag is in the bottom of a closet somewhere. I bought a hardshell case for this beauty. Breedlove should just ship them wrapped in a t-shirt. It would be more useful. I can't say enough about the guitar itself though. I also have a Martin Custom X series with Spruce top, HPL sides and back and Fishman 4 PU. The guitars are similar in price. I love the Martin. It's very easy to play. The Breedlove sounds much better acoustically but is not quite as easy to play, if that makes sense. Amplified there is no comparison at all. The Breedlove will make you forget where you are.

Comments about Breedlove Passport PLUS C250/SBe Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I really enjoy my new Breedlove. Quality is top of the line, sound is top of the line. My only problem was the soft shell case that came with mine was flimsy and didn't unzip far enough to allow the guitar to be removed safely(without scratching on the zipper). I called Breelove and talked to Mark. I explained my concerns. He was nice and told me to call the distributor and ask for a better case and that if they wouldn't help he would have something he could send me. I felt confident when I hung up that I was going to get a slightly better case either way.Distributor told me to call the maker. When I called Mark back I really felt like he was going to take care of this.He just left me hanging and said I could buy one for $109.00 I lost a bit of faith in their customer service. He did say he had something laying around he could send me.Makes me think twice about spending the money on their Master series

Went into the store thinking I was going to come out with a Taylor or Martin. One of the big name guitars. I saw this on the wall and thought "What the heck is breedlove?" By the time I saw it, I had been trying out acoustics for about 2 hours. First chord I played on this guitar, I already made my decision. It's crisp, yet the lows come out perfectly.
