The Passport PLUS C250/SF acoustic-electric guitar is inspired by the Breedlove Custom Shop C25 shape and voice. The C25 shape is highly versatile, comfortable and efficient – Breedlove's top selling shape for over 20 years. The PLUS C250/SF model features the amazing tone of the bridge truss bracing system for sustain and complexity in each note. A solid Sitka Spruce top and beautiful flamed maple back and sides generate a warm tone with good projection and make this acoustic-electric guitar an excellent value. The Breedlove Passport PLUS C250/SF has both advanced electronics and lighter weight bracing in the top and back for increased resonance. The Passport Active VTC pickup lets you be heard in any venue and a built-in chromatic tuner with back-lit screen makes it easy to stay in tune. A 9-Volt battery is easily accessed near the endpin area. Includes gig bag.

This guitar, in short, is an incredible purchase. In my opinion, Breedlove as a company makes the best guitar you can find for the price. I've played a number of mid- to low-end Taylors, Martins, and Gibsons that were close to twice the price and I still did not like them as much as this Breedlove. I do believe that the high-end models for Taylor are close to unbeatable in overall quality, but when you consider the other acoustics in this price range, like Taylors or Martins, you are paying only for the name -- their quality is far inferior to Breedloves at this price. When I began to search for a new acoustic-electric, I budgeted my self alomst twice this, but stopped my search when I found this guitar because I fell in love with it. You cannot find better craftsmenship in a guitar at this price. It sounds just as great unplugged as plugged-in. The sound is rich and warm while still being bright and definite. It comes with an on board tuner, which is a great feature. The only complaint I have -- and it is minor at best -- would be that it only comes with Treble and Bass EQ adjustments. I got over this very quickly once I played it and found the sound I liked best. So do not be turned off by that aspect -- a good sound man and DI will solve that problem tenfold. Do yourself a favor and play this guitar. I guarantee you won't be able to find one as superior as this Breedlove at this price. Bottom line: buy it!

I've always considered myself a Martin man...

I love this guitar. No, it's not a high end Martin or Taylor, but it's a lot easier on the wallet. If you're just a normal working class musician like myself this a guitar that can give you everything you need without breaking the bank. I've played a Martin for the last 8 years and only just bought the Breedlove as a backup guitar, but after playing it for a few days I've been forced to consider the c250 as my primary instrument.

As a side note, this guitar is not for thrashers. If you just like to beat on the strings strumming the same old chords over and over, then this is NOT the guitar for you. It takes the right touch to really make this guitar sing, but if you know what you're doing you'll be pleasantly surprised by the versatility of this guitar. Also, as with any guitar, be sure to have the action adjusted to the way you play, it will only cost you a little extra and it'll make a world of difference!

On board chromatic tuner w/audio bypass... Awesome

Pre-installed bridge doctor for optimal sustain... Fantastic

Need I say more?

The Passport Plus c250 is extremely well crafted for an import. The grains are matched so well you have to look closely to tell it's not made from one piece of wood. Neck and headstock are beautifully constructed and the action and intonation are cosistent all the way up the neck. Also the cutaway is the same as on the pricier c25 series, which makes for great access to the frets higher up on the neck!

UNBELIEVABLE! I've played guitars with a price tag 4 times larger that didn't have anything on this guitar. You'd be hard pressed to find anything under this price range that could compare to the c250.

Easy to Play, Great Tone

After years of playing guitar it was time for me to purchase a steel string. I previously had a Jackson that cost me a quarter of this one. I had to sell it after college. That was eight years ago. I play a classical guitar, mostly in church and it was time to invest in a much better ax. I considered an Epiphone PR-5E, but after speaking to two guys I know who both play Breedlove I looked into it. I figured it was time I spent a little real money on a guitar. The Epiphone, though a good guitar, is not that great. Neither were most guitars around half of this one. The Breedlove is a different story. It is so easy to play, stays in tune quite well (I barely need to tune it), looks great and has real tone. I'm really happy with the purchase/investment. I've been more inspired to play than I have been in a long time.      I love it!

The built in Tuner is sweet. I'm mostly excited about it since its my first guitar with this feature. Sorry, I haven't plugged it in yet, so I have no comment yet.

Well made. Breedlove's are pretty quality. I don't know enought to compare it to Bredlove or MArtin, but it is much better than a guitar at half the price.

Great for the price.

I purchased this guitar as a birthday gift for my father. I had originally been "set" on a Taylor 614ce (a very nice guitar) until I played this guitar. The tone is full, warm, and pointed. The build quality is beyond reproach, the electronics are good, and the finish is superb. The low action was absolutely perfect for my father, who has some grip issues in his fretting hand. This was a great buy and my father loves this guitar, as do I. Not a lot of guitars sound good when played next to a Breedlove, and this guitar is no exception. Frankly, I'm shocked that this guitar is Asian built-Breedlove's quality assurance is excellent. The guitar also has a lifetime warranty, so they stand behind their products. Pleas, if you're looking for an amazing guitar, give this baby a test run. Don't spend three grand on a guitar that falls short when compared to this one; Breedlove, thank you for your work.
