OVERVIEW

Solo Concert: Side soundhole "monitor" gives a whole new perspective on your sound.

Crafted to help players accurately hear their instrument when playing.

Body Shape
The Concert with soft cutaway is our most popular body shape, favored by players because it is well-balanced, compact, comfortable to play, and offers all the qualities of a great sounding guitar. It generates a wonderfully articulate range of tone with an ample low end that is never boomy, but always felt. The Concert works well when played fingerstyle, as vocal accompaniment, or at a full strum.

Top
Western red cedar is a wonderful wood for fingerstyle players. It is softer than spruce, so it requires a careful and accurate touch, and it rewards with sweet, extended harmonic content.

Back and Sides
Indian rosewood has been the standard rosewood choice for decades. It is often associated with the great dreadnoughts, and is an amazingly neutral wood, taking its personality from the player. Well-balanced lows, mids, and highs make it a natural for many styles.

Hand-Crafted Neck
A satin-finished nato mahogany neck with volute makes the neck comfortable and easy to play. The volute adds strength to the break angle of the headstock. It also acts as a thumbrest for chords played in open and first positions.

Breedlove Bridge Truss
For centuries, one of the most difficult components of crafting guitars has been relieving the stress on the bridge without overbuilding the top and dampening sound. Originally invented over 20 years ago, the Breedlove Bridge Truss is still one of the most innovative truss systems on the market today. Refined and improved over the years, the Breedlove Bridge Truss relieves stress on the top, allowing use of a thinner top, providing for greater sustain and balance, more expression from the instrument, and greater structural integrity all while adding longevity to the instrument.

Electronics
The L.R. Baggs Element pickup and the Breedlove LR-TCV preamp give you great plugged-in sound. The back-lit, colored LED tuner also allows you to see if you're in tune on a dark stage. This set-up lets you play with confidence, so you can focus on your performance.

Aesthetic Appointments
Lustrous full-gloss finish, a beautiful single-ring abalone rosette, offset position markers and attractive black binding give a rich, upscale appearance.

Set-Up and Quality Assurance in Bend, Oregon USA
Breedlove's comprehensive quality control process provides the player with an instrument that will play great right out of the box. Prior to shipment, every Breedlove instrument undergoes a rigorous multi-point inspection in Bend, Oregon by our expert U.S. Quality Control Team. They start with a visual inspection: checking aesthetic and structural elements of the body, and all components, for flaws. Next, each guitar is tuned and undergoes a play test, where our craftspeople check nut height, relief, action, and string height. Based on the results of the play test, Breedlove's craftsmen then adjust for maximum playability. Next, each instrument is buffed and polished by hand with painstaking attention to detail. Once the instrument has passed inspection, a signed QC sticker is placed, and the instrument is carefully packed and shipped.

Limited Lifetime Warranty
Breedlove players around the world can attest: With consistent, proper care, your Breedlove will give you a lifetime of service -- and inspiration. New Breedlove instruments, purchased through an authorized Breedlove dealer, are warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship throughout the lifetime of the original owner. In addition to materials and workmanship, Breedlove offers a two-year warranty on tuning machines and electronics packages. Comments about Breedlove Solo Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

The cedar makes for a great finger-picking sound. But it arrived with the action more than twice as high as Breedlove specifies for this model. We (bought it for my 19 year-old son) had to sand down the saddle almost as far as possible. The neck is very comfortable and the inlay is tasteful, though minimalist. The built-in tuner and listening cutout are very convenient.

Comments about Breedlove Solo Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I had a serious case of guitar when I started playing w/ a guy that had an amazing collection - including a vintage 1930s D28. He & I went shopping for my new guitar to replace my Takamine EG340 (also a quality instrument for the price point). I was fully prepared to spend up to $2k on a guitar and was playing all the high end Gibsons, Martins, & Taylors. I picked this one up in and started playing and it was love at 1st strum. I played it against the Taylors nearby and I had to go to the 814 to find a Taylor I liked a little better than this one.... but the Taylor cost $3k. The Breedlove was under eight hundred. It literally plays, feels, looks, and sounds like an instrument that costs 3x more. Full disclosure, I did have to do a setup on it to get the action like I like it, but I suppose you have to expect that sort of thing no matter what you buy. Other than that... PERFECT!

Comments about Breedlove Solo Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

looking for a great guitar under 1k. This one fits the bill. Previous Martin & Guild owner, have owned this for a couple of weeks now, its a keeper. Great warm tone, comfortable to hold and play. I replaced the DAddario xp16 which sounded good, but a bit heavy for me, I like to bend the strings sometimes. Put elixer nanoweb phosphor bronze (.11) on , sounds awesome. Nice detail on it, like that its made in Korea, then setup at the factory in Oregon before they ship it. Great looking and sounding guitar, I'm a songwriter, and this fits the bill for me perfectly. Seems like everyone plays a Martin or Taylor, I like to be a little different. This guitar is a gem.The gig bag is really nice, the tuner is easy to see, and I like that it cuts off after a few minutes on its own, saving battery life.

Comments about Breedlove Solo Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

In the last 1 1/2 year I've been buying/selling/returning guitars. I've kept a Guild GAD F130rce and a Yamaha AC3M. I tried a lot of brands: East, Ibnz, Lg, Waldn, Mrtn and Tlor. I returned them all. I always felt curious about breedloves but the only model I liked was the concert and I was afraid that it'll have volume issues. I tried a few on GC that were only 3.75 inches deep and lacked a lot of punch. But then I tried one that had the same depth of this one. I liked it and decided to take the chance on this one. Now I just wonder why I didn't pickup breedlove before. I don't worry about the 43mm but. String spacing is 37mm and very comfortable to play. This one is loud as a dread and has a full sound rarely found in small bodied guitars. Definitively a keeper.
