Buy it! Let me start out by saying this is a great guitar! I'm not familiar with the USB port on the guitar but I can tell you about the guitar itself. The guitar plays very, very, similar to a music man john petrucci guitar, but nicer. The maple cap has a very beautifle flame top. The fretts are smooth and the action is very low. The seymoure duncan pickups can play anything from jazz, blues, classic-rock, and high-gain-shredding-metal. So if you are a perfesional player, and need a guitar to meet all your studio needs. This guitar is for you! Using this USB port on the guitar would come in handy for Pro Tools as well!
