Comments about Charvel Pro Mod So Cal Style 1 HH Floyd Rose Electric Guitar:

What can I say? Classic San Dimas neck profile feels great. Bridge stays in tune, the overall finish of the guitar is fantastic, no buzz or dead frets and they are level. Not too keen on the flat black pick guard but that's an easy swap out, and some of the screws had the finish worn off probably because they're stored in bulk at the factory but it's minor. I have an older Japanese model and have played USA models and this Mexican model is just as good if not better. A+

Comments about Charvel Pro Mod So Cal Style 1 HH Floyd Rose Electric Guitar:

I had returned two Music Man JP6s for various issues, and I decided to go for something else. I got the Specific Ocean SoCal for about half the price. The overall build isn't quite as nice, but it's still a really fine guitar. The color is a little more 80's than it appears in the pictures, but it still looks great. There is no fret buzz and the neck plays very smoothly. The only issue that I had was that in order to tune down half a step, I had to remove a spring from the tremolo, but the back plate was stuck. A quick Google search revealed that this was common in the Mexican Charvels. I was eventually able to poke the plate out by going from the top of the guitar and now it's perfect for playing Ratt.

Oh, one other thing: I might replace the SD Custom with a JB at some point.
