        My Favorite 6 String Guitar

        By Toma

        Comments about Cordoba C5-CETBK Thinbody Classical Acoustic-Electric Guitar Black:

        This is probably my favorite guitar and I know that as the years season the wood, the sound it will be evem sweeter.
        This guitar has a great electronics. I use it at church as part of the worship team. Wonderful, warm sound, especially while finger picking. Unpluged a little low on volume and warmth, but I am able to play fine with other musicans. One item of little consequence was that it came without pegs for a strap.
        Great finish. Came with a bone bridge which added to the sound, but I had to shave about a 1/32 off to bring the string into an acceptable playing heigth. The strings were of good quality but I am going to change them out for a set of Thomastik CR127 Classic N Nylon Guitar Strings which will make it have a warmer sound.
        Worth every penny. I've looked at higher priced guitars but for my purposes it met every need.

        C5CE=CC Coolness

        Comments about Cordoba C5-CETBK Thinbody Classical Acoustic-Electric Guitar Black:

        I bought it in black, the guitar is nice looks absolutely fantastic and seems well built, the tone is well I don't know much about classical spanish guitars so to me it sounds like a toy ha ha! but that's probably the nature of the sound unplugged being thin and all. The neck is perfect the action is good enough tuned on E and the tuner is so so great to have on board, I love that. I haven't plugged it in anywhere yet but I can already tell that this guitar is going to sound awesome when plugged. The case it came with was surprisingly well made and attractive nice touch there Cordoba, it is cushunny although I still bought a hard case for it because I wanted that smell of wood permeating from the case as to inspire me to consistantly revisit it to play it again..(?) What would I have liked more on this guitar? eh possibly a strap button? so I can play it standing up but the wood might be too thin to screw stuff into it so how about a sticky starp button? that's an idea .. other than that I think it is well worth the price. I think perhaps it is worth more than what it goes for so it is a good buy for the money and a good product.

        I get the feeling that the Negra style Cordobas have a more natural tone maybe that's why they are worth more so I have to try one out but this one has a good tone though. Although I think the tone can be better and have more body to it, but perhaps you need a bigger body and not so much of a thin construction for that. But hey, don't get me wrong the guitar sounds great and like I said I'm sure that plugged in it will shine even more. I recommend it to beginners and intermediate players the advanced players they know what they need so.. : Hey go for it. Hey Cordoba bring the prices of them Negras down so I can afford another one of your guitars as I am very happy with this one. Ok Cheers and happy rasgaeuing...
