Comments about Cordoba CP110 Acoustic Nylon String Classical Guitar Pack:

I had seen this guitar in a local store and after looking at the mixed reviews, I had second thoughts. The more I played it, there more I was convinced that it is really a good value. It has a thinner than average classical neck and is easy to play with the low action. The truss rod is really an asset when you live in a cold state like South Dakota. The gig bag is not too much to brag about but it is fine for a rare outing. The guitar is made well and has a wonderful sound. i purchased a "Dean Markley" Artist tranducer to plug in with it for $32.95 which works very well.

    Think Twice!

Comments about Cordoba CP110 Acoustic Nylon String Classical Guitar Pack:

I found this guitar at best buy on sale. I had been looking for a very affordable classic spanish style guitar. right out of the box I thought hey it look's pretty good and sounded good too. the action was set low and the neck felt good for a classic. I wanted to buy it but didn't want the factory strings, so I bought it and let the store put on some new strings. the person putting on the strings notices the keys were striped on the inside, they took that guitar back and got another one. the strings wouldn't set right on that one but, after about 45 miniutes and another pack strings, it was ready. once I got it home and started to tune it the bottom strings started popping off. I'm taking it back today for a full refund. better spend a few more bucks then buy this cheap thing.

    Not What it Looks like

Comments about Cordoba CP110 Acoustic Nylon String Classical Guitar Pack:

I picked this guitar up on sale and when I got it home and started looking it over I realized how poorly crafted the guitar is. There was glue all over the bridge and surrounding area of the guitar from when they glued it down. There is a plastic thing on the tie block that was put on crooked that made it look very cheap. The finish around the sound hole was globed on, the frets were misaligned and in some cases protruded over the fret board. And worst of all the binding on the bottom guitar where the sides meet was crooked and there was a small gap there. The guitar was actually made in china unlike Cordobas website that says it was made in PortugalI doubt it was made buy Cordoba, I think they probably just signed there name to it. This guitar does have decent sound but the craftsmanship is terrible. Mine was the best of four that the music store had. I returned it the next day and I am going to get a Martin Nylon string backpacker which is much better Quality. I'm afraid that the gig bag is better quality than the guitar is. I strongly suggest you save your money there are plenty of much better classical in this price range.

Comments about Cordoba CP110 Acoustic Nylon String Classical Guitar Pack:

I was shopping for a travel guitar to take with me on vacations and this package caught my eye. This starter package comes with a gigbag, chromatic tuner, polishing cloth, string winder and instructional book/cd.The guitar is has a solid spruce soundboard with a beautifully detailed mosaic rosette. The neck, back and sides are mahogany (most likely laminate for the back and sides), with bookmatching on the back. The bridge and fingerboard are rosewood. The tieblock has a decorative plastic applique instead of the inlay or purfling. A rather cheap touch, but it doesn't detract too much from the overall appearance. Binding is simply plain black plastic. Overall fit and finish is excellent.Aside from the strings being wound backward around the tuning pegs, it was very playable right out of the box. The action is set low. The neck is fairly thin and has a great feel. The gigbag is not padded, so it doesn't provide much protection, but it's useful for transport. It has a shoulder strap and zipper pocket large enough for sheet music. The tuner is decent and you can also use it for your electric guitar. I can't comment on the instructional material, I haven't looked at it. You'd be hard pressed to find a decent, solid topped guitar alone for $200 and here, you get an entire starter package with instructional material. If you're interested in getting started in classical or need a (really good)backup, this package is worth a look.
