OVERVIEW

A steel-string approached from a classical or Spanish guitar building perspective.

The D10-E belongs to Cordoba’s Acero series, a line of all-solid steel strings approached from a classical or Spanish guitar building perspective. Most notably, Cordoba is using an integrated neck joint or “Spanish Heel" instead of a traditional dovetail joint to join the body and neck of the guitar. This method of construction offers a lighter weight and more stable heel joint that increases resonance and is less prone to movement as the guitar ages.

The bracing pattern is a hybrid of a Torres-style Spanish fan pattern and X-bracing, and allows the top to move freely with an explosive attack and big, dark tone. The D10-E dreadnought appeals to the player looking for the darker, and more dynamic tone that is typically associated with solid rosewood back and sides.

The D10-E also features a solid Engelmann spruce top for added clarity along with a beautiful ebony fingerboard and rosewood bridge and binding. The styling is refined and sleek, using acacia wood on the double ring rosette and 12th fret fingerboard inlays, capped off with Cordoba’s signature elevated headstock with a rosewood strip and mother-of-pearl inlay. The finish is a thinly applied high gloss polyurethane.

The D10-E also comes with the Acoustic Fidelity System II (AFS), Cordoba’s new proprietary pickup that offers both piezo and mic blending capabilities.

Other features include a tusq nut and saddle, gold Grover tuners, Elixir NANOWEB Light Gauge (.012-.053) strings, and a Cordoba deluxe arch top wood case with built-in HumiCase humidification.

Comments about Cordoba D10-E Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I bought on a flash sale for cheap - but would pay retail for this guitar - literally blown away with the quality - better than my Taylor 314 cents - and hard shell case with humidifier built in? amazing - all real wood - - probably the most beautiful guitar I've ever played and I've been playing for 20+ yrs. Grover tuners - had a jumbo neck which takes a little adjusting but I have small hands and really like it / no kidding I was floored with the quality of guitar I got for the price - don't be afraid cause they just started making steel strings - that's why your getting a deal !

Comments about Cordoba D10-E Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I had previously purchased the D-09E and was really impressed with the sound, action, looks... especially for the price!! So I bought the D-10E on a close out... I was surprised that upon opening the D-10E case that the back and sides finish has a milk appearance, thus hiding the true color of the beautiful Rosewood back and sides... I decided to keep the guitar because I wasn't sure I'd receive a replacement... Thus, far my experience has been very favorable relative to the action and sound of the guitar... it's not as loud as a Martin dreadnought but produces very pleasing sound.
