Cordoba

A beautiful-sounding nylon string guitar.

The Cordoba Fusion 12 Orchestra Pro is the first full body, all solid guitar in the Fusion series. It features solid Indian rosewood back and sides, a lightweight cedar neck, an ebony fingerboard, and a solid Canadian cedar top.

The multiple ringed rosette is made of 100% natural woods and inlaid by hand, along with the maple and ebony purfling that outlines the soundboard. A light mahogany binding accents the body shape of the Orchestra Pro, which is slightly altered from a traditional nylon string guitar.

The most notable characteristics of the Orchestra Pro are the tone and feel. The thinner 1-7/8" neck is comfortable for any player, and the radiused fingerboard makes playability quick, comfortable, and easy. The tone is dark and punchy in the basses with strong, round trebles and balanced mids.

The Orchestra Pro comes equipped with a BBand A2.2 pickup (mounted in the soundhole) that has a dual input/single output onboard preamp and HZZLess for low noise/high output. The A2.2 includes the XOM technique with mix control to bring the best of the UST (under saddle transducer) and AST characters together, resulting in a sound that is true to the Fusion Orchestra Pro's unique voice in any performance venue and environment.

Excellent crossover

Features:

Gorgeous workmanship.  Beautiful cedar top and rosewood back and sides.  The wood inlays and wooden binding are a tasteful touch that I didn't notice in the pictures.

The tone of this guitar is rich and has deep bass notes.  It has the voice that a professional guitar should have.  I've only owned guitars with laminated back and sides--the sound difference is big.

The electronics are very simple and discreet with the adjustments of the preamp being on the inside of the sound hole.  For shaping your tone, it's best to make your adjustments on your amp or pedal.

This guitar is a crossover, so it has the thin and radiused neck of a regular acoustic guitar, but the body of a Spanish guitar.  Bottom line: it is comfortable and Spanish.  This is good for me because I learned on an acoustic.  I also studied Flamenco guitar in Seville--I am able to play what I learned on this guitar.

Quality:

This guitar is made in China, but is was made with excellence over there.

About the electronics, my sound tech told me that it was a very fun guitar to mix.

Value:

I am very satisfied with money I paid for this guitar.

Overall:

I am very happy with this purchase and I would recommend it to anyone.  I would suggest also buying the LR Baggs Venue DI for gigging.

Cordoba Fusion 12 Orchestra Pro Cedar Top Electric-Acoustic Guitar

Features:

Tuning keys are nice, ebony fret board is nice and solid. Electronics are v good.

Quality:

Made in China. Great workmanship for the money.

Value:

Cordoba delivers with this guitar! Exceeds the "get what you pay for" label on this one. Solid top, sides and back and ebony fret board and great playability for less than $2000? Excellent value.

Thanks to Musician's Friend for making it happen!

Overall:

I bought the item described as "Gently Used", with some slight scratches normal to demos. I COULD NOT FIND A SCRATCH OR A FLAW ANYWHERE.  I am very satisfied with the purchase, and saved a few hundred $$$$, what more could I ask for?

I've been playing rock/blues for around 15 years and only picked up classical under formal instruction for a little less than two years.

I can't comment on its sound as it compares to a more expensive cedar top classical guitar made in Spain, but for my intents and purposes, I am fine with the instrument, its playability and sound.

Instrument is made in China. Would have probably not purchased the instrument had I not previously owned a Cordoba.

Electronics are excellent.
