This guitar is made with folks that never played a classical but want that sound in mind. It's sort of a hybrid of a Classical and a steel string acoustic-electric. Equipped with built-in tuner, bass, mid, treble, vol. and presence knobs. It has a fretboard which isn't as broad as your standard Classical so it's easier to transition to if you're used to playing a Dreadnought. It is a beautiful sounding guitar through a clean amp. I usually play mine through a small bass amp and it sounds great. You can also get some cool tones though using effects if you want. Very versatile in my humble opinion. Great guitar for the price.

Purchased this item through the stupid deal of the day.... and returned it as soon as I got it, and I was actually very willing to pay more for something else. Just posting this review for those of you considering buying this any time.

This guitar is incredibly light weight which is a plus, I think all acoustic guitars should be light as a feather because usually that means the sound will be louder... usually. It has enough volume to play on your bed or couch, but the sound quality is just... not great for this price point. Perhaps there are some folks who purchased this item and hit the jackpot as far as tone, but, the fact is, if you didn't play it before and you don't buy the one you played... I wouldn't recommend buying this as the sound is more miss than hit.

I usually don't write negative reviews, but for the cost this guitar boasts, the quality of instrument I received, discounted or not, should have been immensely better. There were random saw marks on the fret board when they installed the frets. At each fret there was still fuzz from the where the saw cut to set the fret in.... anyone thought of sanding for once??? At the sound hole there were chips coming off the paint where the fret board met the sound hole. The binding used around the neck and sound hole were incredibly dirty as if they were burnt from the final "sanding". Frets were incredibly sharp (notice i talk a lot about the neck... we all use the neck most, so its obvious it should get the most attention). Its a smaller scale so it plays relatively easier, I did enjoy that much. And the width is a tad thinner, but width never really concerned me, I just play it.

Obvious paint dripping inside the head stock grooves. And as far as electronics go... man, they didn't sound all that great either; only two controls for high and low. I don't blame musicians friend at all. I just wish Cordoba had better quality control. So many retailers brag on Cordoba's reputation, but now, for me at least, that reputation has been tainted.

I don't think I'll be buying a Cordoba anytime soon, and if I do I'll have to play it for a while before deciding.

This has been MY experience, I am not speaking on behalf all of the Fusion 14 Jets mind you, so for those who lucked out, good for you, for those of you suffering... I know your pain.

I talked with MF, decided to trade up for something better. Purchased the Yamaha ntx700 which is actually cheaper but because of the discount I had to pay more. BUT the quality is quite better, the craftsmanship is also much better, it feels better, it plays better, it sounds better, and the electronics are... you guessed it, BETTER. The Yamaha isn't too loud either, but the tone despite volume is desirable.

Either way, I still bought from MF, I still loved their service and prompt delivery. But hey if you're a Cordoba fan it's cool, maybe you got some great guitars from them. All I'm saying is that I didn't get a great one... at all. But look, if you want to risk it, go for it, either way just talk with MF if you aren't satisfied, they'll help you get something that you like and they'll be happy to do it.

I am very pleased with this guitar. The light weight and good sound for it's price range was nice. Plus extras found on more expensive guitars like bone saddle and nut. I own some very expensive guitars and did not expect a lot from this price range. I was pleasently surprised.

Comments about Cordoba Fusion 14 Jet Acoustic Electric Nylon String Classical Guitar:

Nice little nylon string (top three) guitar.Super lightweight, shallow and not bad looking. It is painted, so can't speak to quality of woods. They say it is sized for a normal guitar player, so the neck is not as wide as a classical. Action was awful out of the box, can't fault MF as it shipped in Winter. Ok for the price, which was highly discounted. Sounds like crud unplugged, sounds ok plugged in. I repeat, you will not be playing this unplugged. Can hardly hear it. Here is the odd thing, but I know this happens to others. It was described as a model with Fishman presys blend electronis and coming in a gig bag. Mine had the lesser b-band electonics but came in a hard case. So not sure what to think..did I get a better deal? Probably for the case alone. Still it is just wierd how this stuff happens. In adjusting the neck and bridge to make it playable, i tore the under-saddle pickup, which is going to cost me half a c-note to replace. So in summary, I would not pay a lot for this guitar, but if you don't need a full time nylon string, and just want a instrument to play on occassion, it is not too bad. One last thing, it comes with a certain brand of strings (I forget the name), but i looked them up and they were really expansive!! Crazy!

Comments about Cordoba Fusion 14 Jet Acoustic Electric Nylon String Classical Guitar:

This is a decent crossover "classical" style guitar for a steel string player looking to expand their horizions a bit. As a "Stoopid Deal of the Day" this "factory restock" was a good bargain including a hard shell case... but I would never recommend this guitar at it's "suggested retail" price. Beware of these "restock" guitars... The electronics did not function in the unit that I recieved. It turns out that the wiring harness was not properly secured inside the body and the saddle pickup lead had become un-plugged. I had to remove the strings, unfasten the pre-amp control unit and remove it from the guitar in order to re-connect the lead, and secure the wiring harness in the lower bout. Once the unit was reassembled the electronics began working fine. The B-Band preamp unit has a pretty good flat, "natural" sound, and the tuner works great. Also beware that Cordoba only warrantys these "re-stock" units for 90 days... I contacted them and was told that you do not get the normal 3 year warranty on these units. The acoustic sound from this guitar is pleasant, but a bit subdued. It has a thin line body that's only about 4 inches deep and the top is black painted cedar, so that's to be expected, especially being a nylon stringed instrument. The action is a bit high if you're a steel string player, at about 4mm or 5/32 of an inch at the 12th fret... but that's about normal for a nylon stringed instrument. I'm actually quite pleased with this guitar, despite it's shortcomings... It has a pleasing sound, especially in the lower registers, and is easy to play due to the fairly trim neck profile and radiused fretboard. It's also a beauty in "piano black" to look at... the inlay work is very nice for a mass produced instrument, and everyone who sees it gives it a "wow."

I just received this guitar and the finish is amazing for the price point. The tone is really good (not mindblowing). But way beyond anything in the same price range.( AT least any of the ones that I've played)The fret work is surprisingly good and the onboard electronics are well done. I can't say enough how beautiful this guitar is. Hopefully it gets even better when it breaks in. P.S. The case is great too!

                    Nice, but THIN!

Comments about Cordoba Fusion 14 Jet Acoustic Electric Nylon String Classical Guitar:

Good crossover guitar for steel-string players thanks to the thin neck and 14 frets, but this is not good for playing unplugged. The thin body isn't properly identified in the description, so expect a thin acoustic sound - almost no low end. hardly any middle. If thin is your thing - neck, frets & body - go for it. I sent mine back and got a Cordoba C5-CE (NOT a CET) and love it.
