This Kenny Hill designed guitar is the perfect approach for the nylon string guitarist that needs to have a punchy, loud and fast guitar for all things spanish/latin and still maintain a great tone. There are a lot of guitars that aspire to do this but almost all sacrifice tone or natural loudness.
I know I've tried them all.
The only thing I found lacking was the factory setup. It was truly bad. It came with high tension stings in tune for who knows how long resulting in a slightly warped neck. I was able to correct it and get the bridge blank filed down to a usable size. I mean if you are going to produce a guitar for fusion players, set it up for fusion players, thats what the guitar was designed for.

Bought this guitar as a restock item at a GREAT price...you get what you pay for. The top on this rig was warped...action was a mile high. Had the GC tech try a truss rod adjustment that made the neck perfectly straight. Even with that, action was unplayably high, and a bridge adjustment would not have helped. Also, the electronics on this are very complicated. Because it was a restock, it did not ship with instrux, and since it was a discontinued model, Cordoba did not have anything about it on it's website (thanks Cordoba).

The saving grace was that MF, as always, stood behind their product and gave me a full refund no questions asked. Thanks MF.

Comments about Cordoba Fusion 14 RS Cutaway Acoustic Electric Guitar:

I was a little worried ordering with some of the negative posts.

Well I got a great guitar. The materials such as Solid Spruce top and Ebony fingerboard are what I want. The top has the flex you would want, it has the slight arch lets me know it is alive. I love ebony and this delivers. Hard smooth.

Back and sides while not solid Rosewood are not "plywood" in the junk sense. It really has a very nice sound.

I tightened the strings and "truss" rod. Measured the action at "12" fret. Excellent. spot on 3mm high E and barely over 3mm low E. 3mm/4mm is the "Ideal" so mine is better.

If you are not a serious Classical player it is great. It feels like a classical. I can pick and finger. I have plenty of room. The "slightly" thinner width is more friendly but not cramping. I mean I can play classical easily. 1/4" less width is not a negative for myself who plays some classical but not an expert. It is a classical, it plays and feels as such.

I was shopping for a classical for 6 months. I returned an Ibanez and Cordoba C5. This is better in feel and sound for me. Sound is not opinion but I guess feel is.

Intonation is perfect on all strings but high E. It is a tad sharp. I mean almost not at all. I would say it is within normal specs.

I love this Guitar. Until I have Thousands to spend this is going to do just fine.

Comments about Cordoba Fusion 14 RS Cutaway Acoustic Electric Guitar:

Overall, this is a great guitar after adjustments have been made. The action was high when it came but not much of a problem after setting it up, frets a bit edgy but not really an issue.

Sound is great, built in electronics works as well. Nylon string guitar but allows playability through its steel string style. Sounds wonderful unplugged as well as plugged.

Since it was a restock, it came with no manual but just search the bband a6t website for it.

Came with a good carrying case, and truss rod + battery included (located in case).

Fantastic looking Spanish/crossover guitar. Sounds really good for the price bracket. Black and gold tuners seem excellent once strings have stretched. Factory setup was inconsistent with its Fusion concept but easily fixed to play more like a steel string acoustic. Awesome electrics and on-board tuner but with 9V power; please change it to AA. Sound hole cover would have been appreciated. Deluxe soft case is very nice.

Comments about Cordoba Fusion 14 RS Cutaway Acoustic Electric Guitar:

For starters, this is the prettiest guitar I have ever owned. the spruce top and rosewood body, along with the multi-ply wood binding, rosette and ebony fingerboard are exquisitely finished. It is extremely light weight and has a beautiful tone unplugged. If this is Cordoba's b-stock, I can't wait to see their "good" stuff. The gig bag is more like a polyfoam soft case than the simple bag that I was expecting, very nice.
Plugged in it has a nice sound but I will reserve judgement since I tried it in a Fender electric guitar amp and have not tried it with an acoustic amp or PA. The electronics were reluctant to work at first but then kicked in and have been going strong ever since. We will monitor closely and see if this becomes a problem.
A couple of complaints, however. The action is abysmal! A full 5/16" at the 12th fret. I adjusted the neck which helped a little, but it needs a serious saddle shaving. I'll do that when I change strings the first time.
Finally, it didn't ship with a battery. I know, I'm nit-picking now, but every acoustic-electric I have ever purchased came with a battery. I had to run to the store and get a 9V battery to check out the electronics.
All-in-all a great guitar that just needs a setup to be a perfect guitar.

Although it is supposed to be a "crossover" guitar, the strings are far enough apart for classical fingering and tremolo studies. And, the guitar is built from its spanish heel neck!

This was listed as a restock and said some minor things MIGHT be missing. What was missing was the paperwork. There was no manual or instructions on how to use or care for the guitar, or the electronics. The manufacturer no longer makes this model and they did not have the paperwork either. While the guitar is nice, the missing instructions (having never used this type of electronics) make it very frustrating.
