Comments about Danelectro 12 String Electric Guitar:

I've been playing guitar for almost 50 years; I've seen it all. The 12 string Danny is well worth the price. You would have kick in extra skins to get another guitar of equal quality. Now this guitar is not of Rickenbacker quality nor is the price tag. I was leery at first because of the low price, but that soon faded after I picked it up. You'll be surprised as to its light weight.

The strings were slightly high above the frets, which was easily adjusted. Surprisingly, the intonation was good from the get go and the lip stick pickups are good quality. With the semi hollow body you can hear the jangle even when playing it without an amp; I like just picking it up late at night and playing 20-30 mins without plugging it in. It stays in tune quiet will.

It would have been nice if it came with a case or gig bag, but that would have increased the overall cost plus shipping. I bought a used gig bag for far less than a new one. I could sell this guitar tomorrow for what I paid for it, but I bought for my own use and not for resale.

If you want a really decent electric 12 string electric guitar, this is the one for you. I would never attach my name to a guitar that I didn't truly like. I live in Tennessee and the Gibson plant is located near my home but I have to say, the South Koreans work ethic and workmanship really give them a run for their money. As the politicians often say, My name is Dave and I approve this guitar. The thing is, I sincerely mean it.

Comments about Danelectro 12 String Electric Guitar:

When I got it, it needed some setting up. No biggie: most guitars do. The white vinyl on the pickguard was lifting up a little at the edges here and there, the neck needed a bit of shimming to get the action just right, the nut needed lowering just a bit, stuff like that. A glass-is-half-empty type would have sent it back in a huff, but I paid a pittance to have a local tech fix it up, and it plays like a dream. The best part though, is that it sounds like a Danelectro 12-string. Nothing else does. The electronics are solid and quiet, and it has held up under some pretty serious gigging. It's a killer guitar, definitely worth the price.
