It's a Danelectro baritone with a funky body. Comfortable to play. Loooong neck. Great sound, classic deep twang. Smooth tuners. Un-crackly pots. Guitar shipped in very playable condition, will be doing a setup on it to get it dialed in even better. Love it.

Comments about Danelectro Wild Thing Baritone Electric Guitar:
I recieved my new Danelectro Wildthing Baritone a week or so ago. It is very factory fresh and I recieved it in flawless condition via ground freight. I opted for the candy apple red and it looks great. This is my first baritone and after a lot of thinking and comparisons I chose the Danelectro. The price was affordable and I just like Danelectros. Out of the box I found the action a little high and had to tweek it a little. It's nice to be able to adjust the neck with out taking it off. I loosened all the strings and about a 1/8 turn on the truss and it laid down perfect. It has a great tone and I love the new found bottom end, it's just too cool. I was concerned about the bridge having no adjustments other than height but it is really good the way it came from the factory but I did let it down a touch. I love it and I suggest a p-bass style hard case fits great. I bought mine and kept quiet about it to my friends until I pulled it out of the case. Prepare to answer questions and have a ball watching your friends try to figure out what chords your playing. It is longer necked than a regular guitar but after a few day's your hands will adjust to the neck. I tip my hat to the folks at Danelectro, Thanks!
I'd love to have a Wildthing Guitar and bass too!

Buy one they're GREAT!
Baritone Guitar...whats not to love! The price is right...it sounds plays great...tone for miles! It could become my best kept secret tone monster..not for everything for sure..but for just the right growl!!! Love this guitar..took forever to get it,backordered etc...I think the Dan Electro folks make them as you order...fresh from their little elves tree trunk or something...but it was worth the wait...the body style on this model "Wild thing" is a little extra quirky looking..I may saw off the curling cutaways...what were they thinking? But its got style abeit...freaky-surf-smurf-ish or something! LOVE IT! Hope I'm the only guy in Central fl. who buys one though..that way I can be the coolest sounding player around.....
Comments about Danelectro Wild Thing Baritone Electric Guitar:
Very happy with this guitar overall. It sounds good and plays decent. Again, the switch and the volume/tone knobs are not the greatest. With that being said, much better than taking a standard guitar and down tuning it to achieve that baritone sound. The added scale length helps the intonation and the strings don't feel near as spongy as if you were to use a down tuned a standard guitar with bari strings. This is not a guitar you would use for a whole set...maybe a song or two. Unless you play everything down tuned, I would recommend this guitar to any one who needs a cheap alternative to get that bari sound. If you do play everything down tuned...save your money and drop around $1000+. I have small hands and the neck feels fine, not thick or chunky. Keep in mind this a cheaper guitar and for what it is...it's hard to beat.
The switch and the tone/volume pots seem flimsy...but...hey it's a cheaper guitar! More than likely, I will need to replace these at some point.
It's worth the price.
