Strike it rich with this dark beauty.
The Dean Black Gold V Electric Guitar features a solid V-shaped mahogany body and neck with a flame maple top. The transparent black finish allows the flame grain to shine through, giving the guitar a unique air of diabolical beauty. Finishing touches to the look include full binding on the body and headstock, pearl block inlays on the rosewood fretboard, and all gold hardware.
Of course, being a Dean, you know this beast is endowed with more than visual temptations. String-through construction brings out the high sound qualities of this tonewood: mahogany for great sustain and depth, the maple top for brightness and clarity. 2 high-output covered humbuckers mean business when they carry this tone to your amplifier. Whether you're chunking out a locomotive-from-hell rhythm or slicing the air with a face-melting solo, Dean's Black Gold V is a well that won't run dry.

I got mine brand new a few weeks ago from a company that had some in stock. Despite being built in Korea it is amazingly solid and has fantastic action! I love this guitar. I swapped the original pickups which sounded great, with an EMG 81 85 set and it really screams now. I tuned it to B and it is just massive. Love this guitar!!
One of the best guitars I've ever played. You have to mess around with the tone and volume to get the sound you want, but it's not hard to find, and once you got it, if plugged into a good amp, (I use a Marshall) It sounds amazing! Great tone, quality, and amazing action! I recommend!
This guitar looks so much better in person, it is lightweight and the string tension is low without buzz. The neck isn't to thin or thick, like a mix between a les paul and an ibanez. The bridge pickup was a little weak so i swapped mine out with a dimebucker(now it crushes), but the neck pickup was nice and warm. Flawless construction, no loose ends.
this guitar has to be seen in person. the flame, full body, neck and head stock binding make it stand out. action is low and fast. my complaints are that the nut is cheap the the bridge is a sustain killer, the stock pick-ups are decent mid out-puts but for a shredder go with some duncans or emgs. for the price this guitar is untouchable.
this guitar plays like a dream. set through neck and a light weight body make it comfortable to sit or stand. nice tone and good pickups. i am thinking of replacing mine with a Emg or a sh-13 dimebucker but what ever you play you will not be disappointed
I played this guitar in a music store a while back, and it's a great guitar. Beautiful finish, beautiful action, and beautiful sound. Good distortion, but just as a warning - it's not fat. It's got a somewhat thin tone (not too thin, just right for me), but it's a great rock guitar. Between this and a '79 series V, you've got a great versatile combo that can pretty much cover any tone you need. feels good to play, and sounds sweet. I think that this would be a great companion for a '79 V, and with a good amp, you can get a really nice distortion out of it, too.
