Razorback Razor-sharp!!

Ask me a question

Comments about Dean Custom Run Razorback Electric Guitar:

Overall what can I say. The Dean website shows these as "SOLD OUT". And if I didn't like it or it wasn't up to my expectations , then I could give it back. But this thing is everything I hoped it would be. If Dean will continue to make some Foreign imports like this in the future they can count me in!
If it said Made in USA on it I would have believed it! The Korean sticker peels off too! Only thing on the back of the head stock is the DCR 63 out of 100

I have currently the DFH and FBD that I dropped real Floyds in completely being Claw/Springs N all. Then I put Bill Laurence pick ups in em too. They play suberbly. But Im glad I got one from the Box for even less $$ that I really don't have to do anything with!! Except Play it!!

Well Done Dean !!!! Two thumbs up!
I guess the features are perfect. I lowered the action of the floyd and there is not one buzz or fret out or any problems. The wood work is Custom for a foreign import. The neck inlay work is much higher quality. The Pick ups I like. The action and the fact that there is only 100 make it a keeper and make it a special guitar within my arsnal!
If Dean will continue to produce quality Off shore stage worthy axes like this one right out of the Box I will buy more of them thats for sure!
If I decide I need to chang out any POTs or re wire anything then I can do so but so far so good!
Even the so called high end USA made guitars often get their POTs switched out by way of preference from any given artist's tech.
I give it a 10. On top of everything it is what I hoped it would be. You can't replace it either. I have #63 for the Dean History books! Get one of these if you like Razorbacks and can while they are present to grab. Their value will only increase.

Comments about Dean Custom Run Razorback Electric Guitar:

I wanted a guitar with a floyd rose. I've been playing over a decade and never OWNED a FR equipped axe. I have strats with nice floating trem sets but only ver played on FR. It was a nightmare at first but after a week, I'm an expert. It needed a minor set-up upon arrival, but over all the sound and playability is really really good! and the finish is so beautiful, it's really a SEE-THRU black. it looks so cool. I have # 60 of 100. The case, however, I would rate a 5 out of 10. It came kinda haggard and the pad inside comes out when you pull the guitar out, but it works and will keep it safe. so overall I'm not that disappointed. GETCHA' PULL!
The EMG are very smooth sounding and the boost is PERFECT, not too much and pushes you right out in front!
Well, the quality is good, but it needed a set-up out of the box, otherwise it's very well made and sturdy.
Considering it's a custom run, it could cost more.....a lot more!!!!

Near perfect

Comments about Dean Custom Run Razorback Electric Guitar:

Wow... This guitar is EXACTLY what I was looking for. The action is low and smooth as is. Floyd Rose stays in tune. Mine is #56. I was considering the 255 Dimeslime for the 2 additional frets but this one is limited to 100 made and has the Afterburner circuit in addition to the EMG 81 & 85 combo. This is literally the sweetest, meanest looking ax I've ever seen. Sound is the illest, sickest, ominous, fist-in-your-face rock-and-roll metal blast. I run it through an old-school ADA MP-1 and ART Multi-Verb III... Brilliant!
V-neck, EMG 81 & 85 active pickups, Floyd Rose, Grover tuners, Afterburner circuitry, massive hard case included, set neck, mahogany neck and body... SCREAMER!!!
Far superior to the other Dean Razorbacks I've held, with the exception of the Dean USA versions. This is one fine musical instrument.
Hey, if you want pro level, you have got to spend more.
