I played this thing today. one word.......AMAZING!!!!!!! The dimebucker is awesome, the floyd worked good. It played great. I love it. Im putting it on layaway tomorrow. The only difference is the real one says DIME on the headstock the one in the pic does not.
I purchased this Dean Slime Burst. Beautiful finish. The Burst is golden and the picture within the add does not show it's true beauty.+ it also says Dime on the headstock unlike the picture. As usual I was very pleased with the action and intonation of this off shore production guitar. The wood is actually a very decent quality Mahogony. The Keys are high end Grovers. The wiring is not bottom end cheap but more clean with decent POTS. The Pick ups are more top end as advertised. Even the Tremolo system in this dude was better than most of their copies. On all the Deans I have bought I replace the Tremolo with an Original Floyd. Very easy to do and very worth it. They drop right in without any effort. Now this guitar is perfect. I gave the review a 4.5 on Features because I can't understand why they put all the other good features in such a guitar and they have some of the best quality control I have yet seen on Off shore manufactured guitars but they always drop in a lemon for a Tremolo system. Nothing beats the Schaller German Made Tremolo system(Original Floyd Rose) for the way these guitars were designed to be played! I love this guitar's intonation. The neck is nice and wide and the real abalone inlays are beautiful compared to the white plastic inlay that is also nice but most often used in these Deans. This baby is a keeper! Can't take my hands off of it.I seriously recommend it!
i got this guitar last week and i cant put it down, its amazing. i've always wanted an ml and i made a deal with my dad that if i passed my classes this year he'd get me one, and when the time came for him to order one i jokingly said how about the slime? and thats how i got this beast. the finish is just insanely sexy and eyecatching, the pic doesn't do it any justice it looks so much better in person. the pickups kick a** of course cuz its the dime pickups and sound really good. they gots a nice clean sound but with distortion they kill!! this is my first guitar with a floyde rose style trem. and its pretty awsome, a pain in the a** to tune though. its the best guitar i've ever played, i've played gibsons, jacksons, fenders, and ibanezes but this one kills em all. if your concidering gettn this guitar do it, its a bit pricey, but its totally worth it
