I have been playing guitar for close to 11 years now and this ML is a very nice guitar for the price. I bought it because I wanted another guitar to help as a backup on my band's US tour. I found that the guitar is really light for the body style, and it has a great sounding neck. I, however, immediately pulled the sticker off of the body...The image on the headstock is in the paint, so no can do on that one...I also didnt necessarily dig on the pickups..so I installed a Dimebucker and a Duncan 59. This made the guitar sound really really good...like somethign out of dime's collection (even though he didn't use 59s..still a great pickup). Another thing...consider picking up a hardshell for it...it won't fit in most gig bags, and if you get the guitar, new pickups etc...its worth protecting. Overall it is a great guitar for the price, and though it might appear (compared to the other Dime MLs) as a "beginner guitar"...It certainly doesn't play like one. oh.. It also comes with a pretty nice poster of Dime...not like that should sway your decision...but its a nice touch.

Pretty good

By Morbid Angel

from New Albany, MS

This is a pretty good guitar for an intermediate player. If you are an advanced guitarist looking for a good Dean go look at the '79 series. With this DBDT, you are paying an extra $100 just for the sticker on the body and the headstock. This is, in reality, an MLX with two stickers on it. So if you're looking at this but don't care for the Dime stickers then I would highly recommend you check out the MLX instead. Another thing...why would you make a Dime tribute axe and not put a Floyd Rose on it? If you're looking for a similar axe with a Floyd Rose then I would recommend checking out the Dean MLX Noir. It is all black and comes with a licensed Floyd. I would actually stter clear of this guitar if I were you, maybe check out the Dime-O-Flage or the MLX Noir.

Nice Guitar

I bought this guitar at a local music shop. It was the display one. I have been playing for 11 yares and I have got to say this is one of my favorite guitars. Although I would have liked to had the Dime-O-Flame with the Floyd Rose on it this is still very nice. I really domt have a big problem with the pickups as they are standard Dean humbuckers (not humbucker ripoffs) so they don't really sound as terrible as everyone else has said. The bridge is nice it is very similar to the gibson bridge so if you need to adjust the action so the strings are closer to the freatboard it is easy with this bridge. The Dimebag traction knobs are a plus in my book the are very easy to adjust in the middle of a song. The sustain of the guitar is awesome. I like the stringthrough body and bridge but I would have much rather had a floyd rose on it. The sticker on the body is the only thing that disappointed me as it is just a non-gloss sticker so I see it rubbing off in the future. It is a very comfortable, lightweight and overall wonderful guitar.

Got it last month

By ZeroGhost

from Hays, KS

This guitar is nice for the price, but I was sent one with a cracked neck and had to return it. It also came with junky stickers on the guitars head stock and the body. The one I was sent in return is 10x better, the neck is smaller and easier to play on and the decal is in the paint of the guitar, you cant just peel it off like the other ones. This guitar is definitely worth buying if you haven?t been playing very long and like metal or any kind of rock.

This is action for your dollar

By scratch_acid_69

Man I just got this guitar, I have a epiphone zakk wylde camo finish and it plays nice, but the action on the dean dimebag is twenty to one vesus that guitar. Light body wide fast neck with wide frets man it is a fat guitar really balanced. GO GET ONE!

A Decent Tribute To A Legend

This is a pretty decent axe. For the price, it's a good deal. It balences great and the tone is pretty good although you may feel like putting a Hotter pickup in the bridge position. That wouldn't be a bad idea. If you're looking for a guitar that has the Dimebag shape and you're tight for cash, this is a great way to go. If you do have the money, I definitely suggest one of the Set neck models with the Floyd on it. One of those will blow this baby out of the water. Having said that, this axe still kicks major ass.

Dean Dimebag Tribute

By FreeBass

from Cotuit, MA

Great for the price, mainly a bass player but still noodle around with a 6 string now and then. Sounds good for blues on treble, and sounds totally insane on metal licks such as "Crazy Train", "In This River", and "For Whom the Bell Tolls". Never did get the decal for it, but Dime's mug pic on the headstock makes up for it. Get this for a beginner or a pro for a first or second git-box.

Pretty Good Guitar

By Pantera101proof

from Woodstock, Ontario

Bought this guitar new 3 months ago. Not a bad guitar at all. Lightweight, fast neck, it's got Dimebag all over it man. But I have sold mine finding the ml body style is too radical for my lead playing. If you are a intermediate player who is a fan of Dimebag (I sure as hell am!) and wants a worthy, good, stable axe this is it. (Pickups are kinda weak, you wanna put on Dimebucker, or Duncan). But if you are a advanced player and got the money, one of the set neck, floyd rose models are alot, alot better. Either way this guitar is a great buy and has got Dimebag Fukin Darrell and that mean Pantera looks and tone! Get Cha Pull!R.I.P Dimebag

I dont know much

By Blinky

from Portland, Or

I dont know much about guitars but I know this is a good axe but one that I notice is that the strings sat really high and and for me not knowing really what to do about that and I really didnt really want to start tweaking around with it. Anyways this axe is light and well balanced and sounds awesome. Dimebag is my main influence to play so I had to get this axe and it's really fun to play and plus it has a awesome price!!
