Was somewhat disapointed that the guitar was a LOT darker than catalog and online photos, but after a second look, it's actually better looking than the photos. Plays even better. This is my first electric, so can't make a real comparison, but I can say, so far, none of the negitive things I've heard/read about these value packs apply. Both clean and distorted is top notch. It won't rattle your windows or shake down your walls, but has more than enough volume for learning and practice, guitar has kept in tune for five days/three hours a day. I could ask for a better deal for the price.
this is my first electric guitar, for a cheap guitar it sounds great. after a few months the case started to fall apart and the knobs came a little loose but other than that this guitar is defiantly worth the money
Don't Wait, Go BUY IT!
I got this Guitar pack for my Birthday, and its absolutely awesome. For the money, I personally say you can't go wrong. The Guitar itself is much better than others in its price range/class. The feel/look of the guitar reminds me of a Les Paul. The Neck is pretty good with easy playability for simple sliding with fluid transitions. The Pickups on this guitar are very good. Great sound for rock, punk, etc. I mostly use this Guitar in Drop D and Standard Tuning and the sound is Great. The Amp that comes in the package is very nice, with a great rock n roll sound. The knobs and settings are all that you need for a beginner or intermidiate guitarist, that is until you get good at messing around with settings to invest into a higher class Amp. The Gig Bag from my use is pretty good, and I haven't had a problem.
Now on to the things that are bad about this Guitar pack. Starting with the guitar, the input jack can get loose (Easily fixable) so its not that big of a deal. Another thing, would be that this Guitar gets out of tune rather quick, just depending on how much you play, or how long you don't play(Tuners are always upgradable.) Now I have a little problem with some fret buzz. My Low E string has some buzz, but the guitar is fully adjustable so that should be a simple fix.
The other and last thing that is bad about this pack is the 1/4" Input Cable that comes in the package for the amp. It is of bad quality and mine's rubber shield started peeling within 2 days of purchase. I would recommend upgrading to something of higher quality in your budget. I would get some Shielded Guitar Cables from (Monster, Rapco, RadioShack.) Other than that, this a bang for your buck purchase. This has to be the best Guitar/Pack in the price and class. I highly recommend to beginners, or someone looking for that extra 2nd Guitar to own.
Good Quality, Only thing in the quality that's really that bad is the Guitar Cable for the Amp. Just buy a name brand one and you'll be satisfied with the sound and durability.
This is the best deal on this website in this price range.
