Comments about Dean Michael Schenker Performer Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
It isn't really an acoustic guitar.
If I had to pay full retail price, I would buy a real acoustic. I got this used (nearly half price) due to an issue with the pickup (which, I fixed easily enough). Anyway, I do NOT recommend this if you want a true acoustic guitar. It is really nice under the lights though and plugged in you get a pretty crisp sound (better used a preamp or effects unit though with decent EQ).
It stays in tune well enough if you use strings 10 or higher. It plays very fast and easy. Mine was set up perfectly for my fingers. It is difficult to fingerpick however due to the small neck, but I bought in mainly for playing bar chords, not open chords, so it works well for that purpose.
Seriously though, if you want an acoustic, I would not recommend this one for the price, buy a Takamine or a nicer Dean...heck even a Washburn.
Stays in tune....
Only because I paid half price
Comments about Dean Michael Schenker Performer Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
We were doing a little gig up north in New York City and my stand-by guitar was lost in trasit, so I had to barrow one from a near-by music store. I liked it so much I bought it, it's one of my favorite guitars. I call it "MiGhty Mike" in respect of it's designer. Top of the line in sound and looks. Needless to say the gig went perfectly, and I've had the guitar every since. It still stays in tune, my has a few scratches from living on the road, but she's heald up good under those conditions. This guitar was a life safer on that rainy night in New York City not so long ago.
Comments about Dean Michael Schenker Performer Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
This guitar is alright in terms of sound, the resonance is more on the clear side and less on the warm. With that in mind, whether you will like it or not really depends on your playing style. It keeps tune well, but is (by far) not the best acoustic in its price range. And if you REALLY want a classical guitar experience, then don't get it because the graphics make it look like a metal shredder. If you wanted to get it for the graphics, don't.
