Comments about Dean Michael Schenker Signature Retro Electric Guitar:
If you play hard rock and metal, and want some of those classic Schenker tones, this is a worthwhile guitar to seek out. When the guitar arrived, the action was surprisingly just how l like it, and after a quick tune up I was ready to plug in and start jamming. The neck and Dean pick ups are what really impressed me the most-this is a guitar that plays so easily and has some serious crunchy tones. You'll be firing off some monstrous riffs and singing, sweet leads in no time. Rock Bottom anyone?
Have had this guitar about 2 weeks now, and I have to say I'm extremely happy with it. I've been playing about 30 years now, though these days I mostly just tinker around and play for the sheer enjoyment of it. Always wanted a good V guitar (had a Jackson RR years ago that I really didn't like) and this Dean really fits my style of playing well, which is 70's/80's styled hard rock & metal. The weight of the guitar is perfect, the neck nice and thin (plays like a dream) and the pick-ups simply scream! It's gorgeous to look at, and you gotta love the oversized headstock.Hardware seems very solid too.
Though this model isn't going to be confused with a much more expensive Gibson V, the quality of the instrument is quite good. Other than a couple of slight imperfections on the paint job around the neck, I'd say this is a well put together guitar.
For the money, you simply can't go wrong here. Worth every penny.

Just got this guitar and so far i am very pleased with it overall. Great quality and finish, light and low action, smooth frets and great sounding pickups. Great guitar for anyone looking for a cool Schenker V this is it.
Comments about Dean Michael Schenker Signature Retro Electric Guitar:
I don't own this particular one, have a Dean White Gold with one bridge pickup. My friend who owns a local guitar shop let me try a Schenker V Retro from his wall display. These guitars come shipped from across the ocean (except USA-built models), and there are several factors that may make them lose adjustment during the voyage. This particular Dean V played like a dream, since my guitar shop friend made adjustments to the neck and polished/dressed the frets to a jewel-like finish. Let's face it, a typical guitar of any brand straight out of the box, is most likely going to suck. The first reviewer had a bad time with his Schenker V, and i'm sure Michael would too if his guitar tech and/or Dean didn't do the fine touches to it firsthand. I'm rating this with fairly high marks, because it's a good guitar, but don't expect it to feel like a million bucks, unless you or a guitar tech puts some TLC to it.
Comments about Dean Michael Schenker Signature Retro Electric Guitar:
OK here goes. I am a life long fan of the great Michael Schenker so when I saw the retro with the black and white pick gaurds like the gibsons he used to play I knew I had to have one so I ordered one.Just got it and boy what a hunk of junk. I have over fifty guitars in my collection and have played for over 30 years so I will not bore you with the other fine guitars I own.First this thing plays like junk high action but bends are very easy and comfortable despite the action.I tried to lower it but it just frets out between the fifteen and twenty two fret.(I do own some import guitars and they play like a dream)So I'm not afraid to try cheaper imports. The black and white color patern is very cool. Now for the tone here is when this thing redeems it self I played though my boogie dual rec 100 watt stack.OK it sounds amazing the lights out bridge pup is awsome so I jamed rock bottom and armed and ready souds great but WILL NOT stay in tune for more then a few bends ok this sucks!!!! So I check out my other deans (ML'S) I have two thay play darn good.I think this thing needs a fret dressing. So botton line sounds great but plays like a truck. It goes to show you get what you pay for. would I recomend this to any one NO NO NO!Sorry MS.Hope this helps any of you looking at this guitar. This will be my last Dean I ever buy. There are way to many fine playing imports out there to keep wasteing money on a name that USED to be quality. I think I will try a DBZ next.
