First, it looks beautiful. The gold-plated tuning keys really accent the deep blue colour to perfection! I've stringed mine with Dean Markley's Alchemy strings and it looks mad-stunning. The fretbord and neck are really smooth and comfortable. The sound and tone is really impressive. I hook mine into a Line 6 Spider jam 75w amp, and use the guitar's FTE-3 pre-amp equalizer to get very warm tones for classic rock ballads, blues rythms and folk-sy stuff. Compared to my Ibanez V-70 dreadnought, the Dean Performer looks better, sounds better, has better action, is lighter and less bulky, and was worth the extra money. I wished it had been equipped with a tuner as well, simply because it also sounds great on its own without an amp, y'know, outside at the beach or by the fire at night. Very light and confortable, well worth every dollar paid for it. Very good quality instrument for its price.
