I have over 50 elecrtic, acoustic & bass guitars. This is the first Dean I've owned. It was a blemish but the only blemish was a dead battery & slightly dull strings. This guitar is one of the best values in an electric acoustic at this time 5-5-09.
I received this guitar and instantly wanted to send it back. While it is a very attractive guitar it sounds like a shoebox with strings. Plugged in it sounds pretty good but I wouldn't recommend it if you plan on playing it unplugged. I sent it back and exchanged it for a Dean Exotica which I absolutely love.
I've Played elec. for 9 years and never saw any reason for buying an acoustic. But know I'm Married and dont want to lug my Amps and cables all over the place. This Guitar Plays like an elec. It sounds like a guitar twice the price and feels like it too. A friend of mine has several custom taylor acoustic guitars. This guitar play better than all of them. I play on a church worship band and the mic cable cuts down on hookup and the signal strength is incredible. If you like to hit the strings you get an awesome bass/ booming sound it sounds GREAT I highly recommend this guitar.
Just got this guitar in the mail today. I got to play it for about 20 minutes before i had to leave. The first thing is that the quilted maple looks awesome. I plugged it in and it sounded great. I also played it unplugged and it sounded great. Overall its an awesome guitar im really happy that i bought it.
