OVERVIEW

A guitar that screams with its EMG pick-ups.

The Dean Razorback 255 electric guitar has two powerful EMG humbuckers: the EMG-81 in the bridge position provides higher output for overdriven, screaming leads with tons of sustain, and the EMG-85 in the neck position gives a beefy low end and fatter top, great for rhythm and blues.

The mahogany body with a flamed maple top, a mahogany neck, and rosewood fretboard provide warm, balanced resonance. Grover tuners and a locking tremolo keep you in perfect tune for extended dive-bombing. 24 fast frets facilitate wicked, shredding solos and lightning quick chord changes. 3-way switching and volume and tone control keep things simple, yet tonally flexible, and with tons of presence.

Being a Dean guitar, the Razorback 255 looks as good as it sounds. Dangerous-looking edges are highlighted by color-contrast bevels on the body and outlines on the famous Dean headstock.

Dimebag Darrell Abbott's return to Dean Guitars was one of the many things cut far too short by his death near the end of 2004, but his many drawings and ideas have kept the guitar makers at Dean inspired. These Razorback 255s were some of Darrell's final designs, and we're sure they will inspire you, too.

Good but could be better

Comments about Dean Razorback 255 Dimeslime Electric Guitar:

I played this guitar and it had some great things about. It had EMGs which sounded heavy cruncy articulate and thick, it had a flat comfortable fretboard that made it really easy to play fast and bend high, it had great upper fret access, amazing sustain thanks to the set neck joint, fast mahogany neck, light mahogany body. After all of those pros there are a couple cons the licenced floyd was kinda crappy and I had some difficult sitting down with at times but other than that a good guitar.

Comments about Dean Razorback 255 Dimeslime Electric Guitar:

I have had esp, jacksons, and epiphone, and this guitar is my main guitar right now, the feel is just awesome and if you like playing v style guitars it is the most comfortable to sit down and play. Throw in the emgs and this thing is the best out there. If your thinking about it save now because you won't be disapointed. Btw I got the silver bevel one not the slime which is awesome!
