Comments about Dean Razorback DB Killswitch Electric Guitar:

This guitar rocks! Right out of the box, plug and play goodness. The unfinished neck with the satin finish leave this guitar with a very nice feel. The intonation was just a tad sharp right out of the box, but that's no big deal. So far I've only plugged it into my Line 6 Spider iii 75w combo... I play metal, and after a few minutes of riffing around on the bridge pickup, the word that quickly came to my head to describe this guitar's distortion was "savage." I use a lot of pinch harmonics in my music and let me tell you, this guitar is perfect for them. The squeals just jump out, piercing and clear. It is a heavy, aggressive sounding guitar when need be. The neck pickup for clean sound is amazing. Both pickups on in a clean setting is surreal. Nothing short of beautiful. The action and playability rivals that of my higher end guitars... ('91 SG Jr & Razorback Explosion)... The killswitch is a cool feature for the ends of songs or in solos.. Adds an epic feel if applied correctly. This guitar is perfect if you have some really nice guitars, and want to have something you can let your friends play without biting your nails over. I use it for band practice and jamming at home because I like to keep my babies pristine. I wouldn't record with it because I have other guitars for that. But regardless, as an entry to mid level guitar, you really can't go wrong with this. For a backup guitar, it's awesome. All around a great playing, sounding and looking guitar.

      Nice Guitar

Comments about Dean Razorback DB Killswitch Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar almost a year ago, and I was a little skeptical about buying a guitar online but the razorback put my worries to rest!Out of the box, the strings were a little dead and the action was a little high for my taste but that's the nature of the beast we call the postal system. After a set up and new strings, this puppy can growl! something to note might be this: they ebonized the fretboard, it would be a good idea to clean it to get a nice look. The hardware is nice. If you're on a budget, it'll get you where you want to go but if you have the money, you could probably upgrade the pickups to suit your style. I like the killswitch, its a neat little trick.in m opinion, the case that it comes with seems a little flimsy, it'll do for a car/van/bus/train ride but the airport would kill it. A high quality case would be worth the investment.

Good buy, but not without problems

      By Gorgoroth666

Comments about Dean Razorback DB Killswitch Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar on sale from Musician's Friend. It was a good buy for such a cool and evil guitar, however there were a few problems out of the box. First off, the neck was bow was completely messed up, rendering it unplayable until after tweaking it for an hour or so. Also, there is a very loud static buzz sound when plugged into an amp, but this static goes completely away when I touch the strings or bridge. This could by a grounding or shielding issue, and will have to take it into the shop if I can't resolve it myself. Overall, this is a good guitar, but be prepared to deal with a few minor quality issues.

Comments about Dean Razorback DB Killswitch Electric Guitar:

I own a dozen electric guitars, and the Dean Razorback DB Killswitch Guitar is definitely the best bang for the buck. If you want a heavy rocking guitar at a reasonable price, then you can't go wrong with this guitar.

An Awesome Guitar to Rock On

      By GuitarChris24

Comments about Dean Razorback DB Killswitch Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar several months ago, but I wanted that time to see how I'd like it. The fisrt thing I notice is the back of the neck. I feel nice and smooth, I had an easy time getting around the fret-board. I thought the neck was a little short, but it not that bad. The pickups are better than I thought, I get great harmonics and pick slides, But I'm also paring it up with an MXR KFK 10-band Eq. Thw killswitch is nice to mess with. I get some cool grove elements out of some real simple riffs with it, and I like using it at end of solos and songs. Another reason why I bought it is because compared to my other guitar (a B.C Rcih Virgin) it's a little easier to maintain. Even though I play Pantera song with it, I play way more Tool songs with it. Sounds great.

      Great for the price range

      By DawnadaDead

Comments about Dean Razorback DB Killswitch Electric Guitar:

The Razorback/ML body type is pretty much the epitome of comfort, soloing is a breeze, sound is great, and it's pretty cheap. The weight is tolerable and the neck fits the needs of fretswitching. The only downside is that the 19-22 frets, especially on the 1-2 strings do not sustain notes that well. I'm on rhythm, so it doesn't hurt me all that much anyways. My old ML-X pales in comparison to the power I get from the Razorback, even my friend's Epiphone (I know Epiphone has lower standards than that of a Gibson, so that's just to say) SG doesn't grind like this. The killswitch isn't anything major, but it's nice to have. All in all, I'd recommend it to anyone who is a Pantera fan and just can't get the cash for the higher-classed Razorbacks.
