I bought this guitar about 9 months ago and I have been very pleased with it. Mine has a set neck, as opposed to the bolt-on that Dean lists as coming on the guitar - I'm not sure why. Anyways, it is very playable, short scale, easy for little mitts to fret, neck similar to an SG. The pickups sound very good, no buzzing, and the guitar gives a warm, bluesy tone. Great looking guitar as well. Lightweight. All in all a very good buy.
Body and neck similar to Gibson styings. Semi-hollow body gives nice, warm tone. Small neck great for people with small hands (like me!). Pickups are nice quality. Beautiful Guitar (I own the Trans. Red finish) Great value for the price.
this guitar is a great guitar for the price. It has a sweet tone that you can form into your own sound. it is a semi hollowbody, very light and has very good action for people with smaller hands. i love the guitar i play it over my les paul and my strat and it was about two thousand dollars less. buy this guitar if you like what you hear. it also has great tone and sound for the studio.
I just purchased my Sarasota last week. So far it I like how it sounds! I'm typically an acoustic-electric kind of guy, so I was looking for an electric that "bridged the gap" between electric and acoustic. Some of the other hollow-bodies were "all electric", but when I plugged this in I liked how it had a unique sound, but reminded me somewhat of an acoustic. It also allows me to rock out when needed.
